The food was amazing! We got the steamed shrimp & the shrimp/scallop platter. Both the owners & other customers were so friendly! I will definitely go back the next time I'm in VA - thank you!
The Gem of seafood in richmond Great price and great fresh food .we loved it . The one draw back is no place to sit and eat .
I got the fried fish and shrimp ? plate and Spicy Jumbo ? Steamed Shrimp plate, both were excellent! You gotta check them out!

I've been looking for crabs for the longest time. I've checked all the places that I know of in the Richmond area for crabs. This place wanted $39.99 for a dozen of crabs. "I don't think so". I think its ridiculous trying to over change customers due to the lack of the crab population in this Richmond/Tidewater area. Remember its the customer that keep you up and running. Think about that when you want to price gouge.
Ok food. Ordered the shrimp and they were large and crispy. Hated the fact they were out of so many menu items, like chicken @1pm on a Friday. Oh not to forget that I couldn't get any shrimp fried rice and few other items because as the cashier put it "oh we can't fix that cuz my homeboy that cook that in the back sleeping cuz of his diabetes". Why have a cook taking a nap at 1-2pm while at work and nobody to cook certain items on the menu.
I am very disappointed in my order. I purchased shrimp and crab kickers. The two stars is for the shrimp since it wasn’t too bad. The “kickers” were horrible. No taste at all and extremely small. The lady at the register was super nice. However, that was my 1st and last time visiting there.
