Walking through Carytown, we came upon this Vietnamese restaurant. If you pull up the menu using the QR code, it’s overwhelming at 17 pages. My husband and I both ordered the Buddha Bowls to keep it simple. It was delicious, fresh and tasteful. Only thing missing was a knife to help with cutting some of the veggies - sorry I’m not saavy when it comes to using chopsticks with a salad!Staff was super friendly but it was evident they were severely understaffed.
My dish was $27 and it was not very good. There were hardly any noodles and the pork was so dry. My boyfriend's brisket pho was about $30 and it was so fatty, that he couldn't taste anything but the fat. The vegan pho was very bland. It tasted like a ton of salt and sugar were added to make up for the lack of flavor. Overall, disappointing experience and waste of money. 2 stars for ambiance, I guess. I wish we went to Pho Tay Do instead.
I've been here twice for dinner. The place is nice, if you're into an eclectic type of setting. My rating is mainly for the food. The food is unjustifiably expensive, because it really isn't good. We went there for my brother's graduation because of their vegan options. A few of us ordered the salmon, it was overcooked and didn't taste good at all. The fish sauce they serve with it is extremely sweet, it's like drizzling honey syrup all over your plate. My dad ordered the steak and it was riddled with fat. You had to perform surgery to get any meat. My brother got the duck and it also tasted bad and was burnt on the bottom side. It's upsetting because we paid for a quality meal and a good experience but didn't get either.. The best part is Tofu the cat that roams the place asking for pets, lol.
YES to healthily prepared, interesting dishes, served with smiles and efficiency. We sat on the patio and loved people-watching while soaking up the Spring sunshine. Lunch was a medley of appetizers, all delicious and all attractively presented. For foodies who like to eat "clean," Sen Organic was a happy find!
The atmosphere here is great, very relaxed. Food was also fantastic and there's a lot to choose from. It gets a little cramped inside so go on a nice day to sit outside or a small group.
Amazing cuisine, excellent service, small but curated drink selection, and gluten-free friendly! Wish we lived closer.
This is my first time making a reservation and got rejected because our group has 14 people. They said we need to give them a week's notice but I called them 2 weeks ahead to let them know.I asked the guy on the phone (His name is David) for a Jan 3rd 2022 reservation at 11:45am and he said no because he already has a big party on that day. I talked to my family and called them back 2 minutes later and another lady picked up the phone and said agreed to our reservation. I was so happy but suddenly the guy (David) took over the phone and said no again and told me the same reason. This is an amazing coincidence.I had a chance to visit this restaurant in 2017, I promised myself that if I have a chance to come back to Richmond I will come back to this restaurant because of their yummy food and great service but this time I was very disappointed about their service.
Caroline was our waitress. She was obviously well-versed on the menu. She understood that we were hungry and wanted quantity. She gave great recommendations restaurant presentation was calming, but exciting. Appetizerscame out quickly. Food and drip coffee came out shortly after. Restaurant understood urgency and did not disappoint. I would bring my mother there.
deliciousness! we had the buddha bowl, vegan pho, afternoon delight tea, and house white wine. soooo good. we loved it all. we also walked through the market across the street where they source all their food.
We ordered catering and it was amazing! They worked with our last minute order a couple of days after Thanksgiving. We ordered the Golden rolls, mushroom hot pot, and beef stew for 7 people. Our family, whose never tried Vietnamese, enjoyed every bite (and we ate the leftovers the next day). The meal was extra special because the beef stew ended up being our grandfathers last meal before he passed. ?? Truly amazing experience.
