ABSOLUTELY GROSSused to be the best hibachi restaurant in Richmond but went there 06/28/2022. Absolutely disgusting. The food was over seasoned, they’ve cut back more than half the serving size but doubled the price. Wish I could go back in time and take my business to Sakura which is 5 minutes up the road from this place.
Visited the restaurant at 7pm with family and asked for a hibachi table, they asked me to to wait, after 20 minutes of waiting they said Hibachi is closed, I saw the person at the reception probably take reservation for someone else with more people, the reason he gave me was blunt, he just said hibachi is closed while I can see him allow others, he could have told me as soon as I visited that they can't let me in and I wouldn't have wasted my family's time I will never visit this place again and tell my friends to never visit such disrespectful unprofessional place ?
My Fiancé and I ordered takeout and I got the steak and shrimp hibachi. It was watered down, no flavor, steak was dry, and the shrimp was rubbery. Miso soup tasted horrible and the fried rice was mediocre. We also got the spicy crunch shrimp roll which was pretty decent. We went here because of the good reviews but we’re disappointed that it turned out like this.
Customer service is absolutely terrible. My waitress was so pleasant and helpful with the sushi menu. I asked for well done steak, specified no pink inside and this is what was brought to my table. I respectfully asked the waitress to replace my order and this time bring well done steak. The manager only wanted to make the steak over while the rest of my food sits and get cold while waiting for the steak to cook. I am not giving this establishment my money ever again. That’s unacceptable.
I ordered lunch to go on Saturday. It was my first time, because I like to enjoy hibachi at the table, and Sakura it's definitely THE BEST, the food was fresh, great quality and quantity and packed perfectly. I got soup and salad, and the rice, vegetables and meat and very good price. I was so pleased!!! Thanks for having a great product.
Nice decor and ample parking. Service is very attentive and friendly. Multiple hibachi tables and private booths. Freshly made sushi. Hibachi cooks are very entertaining and professional.
The food was great, the service not so much....
The food was great and the chef was entertaining but it was FREEZING. Absolutely freezing we were all shivering almost the whole time. They said there was nothing they could do about it..? The staff was nice and I liked our server, but it really ruined our experience being that cold the whole time. It was just as cold in there as it was outside.
This was our first time at this restaurant and trying Hibachi. We went to this restaurant by seeing the Google rating but I must tell its deceiving. The service was awful, waitress was always in hurry. The bubble tea was good, Hibachi was too salty. I see now in review few others had similar experience. Quantity wise it was good. Chef was good at showing off his skill but he definitely need to address the taste.
I love going here for hibachi! The cooks are are so nice and I always leave a good tip! On the other hand the servers are rude, specially the female server a. They give you attitude and horrible service. They don’t even give you service, they get your drink and check that’s about it . I’m pretty sure everyone in the reviews can agree that the “service” is awful. But their is a very nice gentlemen who is the only nice server , but he tends to work the register more often.
