This was the closest on the map when the group needed a coffee break while driving around during a weekend vacation in Richmond. What a cool find! I may have to order some coffee to be delivered! So many flavors. The shop had so many neat things too. I loved the coconut coffee I got to drink and have been using a tea infuser I bought frequently since I came home.
Super happy to live behind this coffee shop. The bulk coffee is amazing at a good price & the breakfast loaf bread is always a really treat! Oh and don’t get me started on the amazing smells coming through my house when they roast the beans in the evenings! ?
The only place I buy coffee in Richmond. Any of their light roasts are to die for. My favorites are the Mexican Pluma and Jamaica high mountain. If I ever leave town I'll be ordering from here for years to come.
We're looking for a place to have tea while in Richmond and this place came up on maps. So glad to find it!They have an excellent loose leaf tea selection with small samples in mini jars so you can smell the teas ☺️ We had the jasmine green tea and decaf earl Grey, and both were amazing, full bodied teas not watered down tasting. We ended up buying some for home.They also sell coffee/tea accessories and mugs. Only a few tables in the front and back of the place so keep that in mind. Will be back to purchase more tea and try their coffee next time.

There's no better coffee roaster in VA. Tammy is well versed in coffee and customer satisfaction! Have to drink decaf because of health issues, and have been looking for a "good" decaf for years. All of Rostov's decafs are great. And several other family members think their regular coffee is superb! If you are in Richmond and want great coffee, find Rostov's. They have a website and shipping. What else could you ask for?!?
The different selections of tea and coffee are amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Ordered a double espresso today and will have to go back for their sencha tea soon!
The place always smells amazing and the employees are always helpful. I got good info on Chai tea along with 2 lbs of awesome coffee. My favorite roasters in VA
Very unhappy with the treatment we encountered by four employees yesterday. My boyfriend & I walked in for the first time to buy some tea, and instead of a “welcome” were met with “we require masks in here” from a young man peeking from behind the door. We smiled, said we didn’t have any with us, and continued walking, knowing there is no city or state mandate to force compliance. Not even another two feet in, and another young female barked, “you need a mask to be in here”. So we repeated the same thing, and the young man pointed to a basket of masks. We took one each, and I put it on my face while my boyfriend fiddled with his. We continued on, and an older female walked up to my elbow (no “social distancing”, mind you) and said “I shouldn’t have to say this but you need to wear your mask properly”, never once addressing my boyfriend who still wasn’t fully wearing his. Then another male employee walks up and says “the mask needs to go OVER your nose”. I replied that medically, I am technically exempt from any and all face coverings, so mine will stay where it is, and he promptly walked over to the back door, flung it open, and said sarcastically, “well then, we have the right to refuse service, and you will need to leave”. So I absolutely did, immediately, and we left without a purchase! Utter and total insanity. The fact that 1) a female was specifically targeted (not the male standing right next to her though this kind of treatment should never exist period), and 2) a medical exemption was not only ignored but taken as a joke is appalling. Were it not the holidays currently, I would absolutely consider taking this further up the legal chain. We will never again return, and our first-time experience was a shameful one. Please do better.
My husband ordered coffee beans, as a friend had highly recommended it. We ordered a pound of breakfast blend and we are both very disappointed. The beans are dry, have no oil, are a light brown color and when ground up have an unpleasant order. The produced coffee is bitter and not flavorful. Since he paid more for shipping than the pound of coffee, I don't think we will be ordering from here again, sadly.
