best food I've had in a very long time.
I've been getting salads here weekly for a couple years and they never disappointed. I moved from DC before the pandemic and thought I'd never have a Sweet Green like experience again... Fortunately, Roots Natural Kitchen has more than filled that void.My two go to's - The Pesto Caesar and the El Jefe.
First time there, employees were not at all interested in assisting. A lot of money later, bowl is a sloppy mess way too much tofu just dumped in and my food is inedible. Avocado is hard not even close to being ready to eat.
This is now one of my favorite places. I was visiting from Chesapeake and was blown away by the food! Super easy ordering and pickup too. Definitely need one of these in Hampton Roads.
The wifey has gotten food for us here a few times. I went with her this time and got to select my own ingredients for my bowl. Delicious!!!
Awesome great tasting and healthy alternative food . I chose el jefe and it was great ! Thanks !???Came back for a group takeout order and an associate named Lauryn when above and beyond taking my order , preparing all our bowls with names on them packed and place them on a great bag with a fantastic personality and a beautiful smile . Okay, so this spot truly is a gem! Definitely the best Salad Spot that I've found this far in Virginia!Just the right amount of choices so you don't get overwhelmed; but also the option to create your own! The portion size is very generous as well. I will definitely be back!
2 out of 6 workers were glad to be working, 1 woman sweeping looked at my wife sideways?? Cashier and bowl maker were top notch. One guy refused to give us the chicken so another had too. Grilled chicken was spicy, sauces were watered down. Hope they are better before 7pm
The food will bring you back to life ! Refreshing ingredients, friendly staff. Food is always on time. I've never had a bad experience with Roots and I'm a repeating and frequent customer
West Grace Street Roots is amazing! So convenient with online orders or walk-in, and the staff is always accommodating and welcoming. I have never had a bad bowl from Roots, and I stand by that as someone who eats it at least 2-3 times a week. Easily my favorite place to order pick-up from because of the amount of time and effort they put into making sure your bowl ends up exactly as you want it to be.
