Spectacular experience from start to finish!! Excellent Chardonnay, oysters, entrees, and desserts! The Scallops, Paella, Bronzino, and burgers were outstanding. Service was great, too! Definitely a great place for a couple's night out, or a dinner with friends. Highly recommended!!
My wife's ceviche starter ($17) was soupy and had no shrimp pieces, just fish. My beet salad ($15) was very light on beets, but tasted good. My wife's pan-seared arctic char ($35) was tiny - the size of a white castle burger. My scallops ($35) consisted of THREE scallops. Regular-sized, not huge or anything. Really meager for the price. The black rice was unctuous. Service and wine list were great. But the prices are ridiculously high for such tiny portions.
Solid place for a date night or work dinner. Oysters were tasty but a few were somewhat grainy. Tartar was a miss. Main dishes (pan seared fish and pork belly) we're fantastic. Drinks & service were top notch.
I've been to Rappahannock a half dozen times and the food has always been very very good. Until last night. It was kinda meh. Got the pan seared fish. Nothing special about it. Maybe it was just an off night. It's always been great before
Our wedding anniversary. All the dishes were spectacular! The bartender made two delicious custom drinks based on our flavor preferences. A wonderful night

Had an excellent experience. Our table waiter was fantastic, energetic, and knowledgeable. Our Oysters were incredible, and the drinks were perfect!
Loved the scotch and food pairing dinner on July 27th!! EVERYTHING about that experience was positive! The down side is that drinks at the bar are VERY expensive! So much so that we'll stick with the meals only.
This was a great find for a stop in Richmond right around the corner from the hotel. My server was wonderful, and even convinced me to order the burger, which I typically wouldnât at an oyster house, obvi. But it is marinated in squid ink or something funky and I got a say I loved it! Would come back here in a heartbeat. Simple atmosphere. Great food.
My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant. Fun environment with nice decor. The beer selection was good and the cocktails were great. Our favorite part of our meal was the hummus special. And it really was special. Iâm not always a fan of hummus which tends to be a little boring to me, but this was really good. The arctic char dish was certainly very fresh but not quite as flavorful in my opinion. The carrot purée along with fish didnât quite work for me. The menu had several great things that we would love to come back and try. The panna cotta was beautiful and delicious. Service was very good. We will be back.
