Worst barbecue I've had in my life I don't even think they actually smoked it I think they just took a bunch of institutional sliced pork and poured sauce on it.I bought it when I was heading northbound on i-95 and by the time I got to Washington I was already sick.Skip this place. It's not barbecue. It's garbage
The only 2 things that tasted good was the Mac and cheese and the greens. Oh yeah and the rolls. My niece like the grilled cheese. But the meat?soooo freaking dry. I got the brisket and pork bbq. It was sooooooooooo dry that I choked on it and almost died. I put hot sauce and bbq on it and it was still dry. Never again
MICROWAVED RIBS- YuuuuuuuuCKKK-WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AGAIN- AND WE REMOVED THEIR MENU FROM OUR INORMATION CENTER!Ordered 1/2 rack with 2 sides of coleslaw. 1 rack with 1 coleslaw and 1 mac-n-cheese, 1 order of fries. The slaw was the worst tasting slaw any of us had ever eaten (3 of us). The hush puppies (2 per to go plater) were placed on top of the meat and then crushed (by the lid). The end result, falling apart and moist- Not Hush Puppies. The full rack was half burnt and half just dry (and a few tender hunks of fat, in the mix) . The 1/2 rack was absolutely cooked in a microwave with absolutely NO GRILLING of any kind. The Barbecue sauce was hideous. Not a flavor that is associated with traditional bbq flavor/texture.The macaroni and cheese was under cooked MICROWAVED and watered down sauce that appears to be cheese- but absolutely no flavor- -1 single taste test and the entire container resealed and placed in the trash can.The entire to go was $54 and change. (gave the waitress the change from $60). We left and DECIDED to check the bag and it was missing all sides. So I went back inside and the waitress handed them directly to me.More than 1/3 of the racks were completely inedible. With the exception of small tastes of the slaw and macaroni- they were all so bad- they were disposed of, still full. The order from start to finish was approximately 15 minutes. The only thin that the 3 of us agreed on was that this meal was by far the worst and the most expensive of the bad- we have ever had in Bellwood/ Jefferson Davis. So, no pictures, but others I guarantee can verify the legitimacy of this experience with their own. This is certainly not a one-time thing-This place is serving simply horrible over priced food. We will not recommend from our establishment. The key lesson here is that if we are to recommend local restaurants to our guest, we should really get to know their products, otherwise we have NO business recommending any.
Nice place. Very personable. Food was great. Sauce was delicious. Only wish I had been given more.
Stopped here for 1st time. Small place with friendly staff. Fried catfish/shrimp platter was on point. Ribs were juicy. Hush puppies were great. Sides were just fair. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.
I’m on the hunt to find the best brisket in the south. This wasn’t it.I had high hopes when seeing the smoker out front. The place was smaller than my bedroom so I just knew it was going to be amazing. Ordered mozzarella sticks they where pretty good. Sweet tea was good. Brisket and ribs not so much. Brisket was tender which I liked however it was on the dry side and had no flavor what so ever. No smoke flavor either and it had sear marks so reheated which leads me to believe this was pre packaged brisket. The ribs where not tender and only one sauce option which I didn’t like the sauce was just blah. Cute little hole in the wall seems like a place for the locals I’m sure their pulled pork is basic. Friendly staff. Wanted to love it but just couldn’t
my hometown favorite the food is always good and plentiful and service is excellent
Had a minced pork bbq with slaw,a chopped beef bbq with slaw, and a side of bbq beans. I took two bites of each and was some of the worst bbq I ever had. Tasted like it was frozen in a freezer for a year then reheated. Slaw tasted spoiled. The beans if they can out a can. No flavor.$18 dollars.what a waste. Go home an hour later and was sick.Should have known when there’s no customers at 5:00 pm. Don’t waste your money.
My co worker suggested this place for some good ribs. I am HAPPY I took her suggestion. The ribs, collard greens, cornbread was so GOOD. Fir a minute I thought I was eating a plate of food at my grandmother's. When I driving through Virginia I will be stopping by again.
BBQ sandwich was Delicious, their BBQ sauce was a sweet spicy sauce and GOOD!Friendly staff
