A great place if you're a fan of rolled ice cream! I think this was the first rolled ice cream I've ever tried. It was better than expected! I got the fruity pebbles flavor and I really enjoyed it. The small size was still a bit too big for me, but I get full easily. Reasonable prices considering the staff prepares and rolls the ice cream for you and in front of you. The service was very friendly. I would definitely return next time I'm in Carytown!

I love this place and Raul the owner is awesome. I’ve been coming here since they were a stand on the street. However, tonight myself and a few others were turned away service from the employees working because it was 5 minutes before they closed. Not cool. I’m almost positive if he was there he wouldn’t have done that. Giving 5 stars because they have the best ice cream and ownership. Just don’t appreciate the employees that were working tonight. They close at 9, not 8:55pm.

It's nice that a rolled ice cream shop opened up in RVA but tbh it's pretty standard and. Many rolled ice cream shops seem to have more flavors and specialties whereas Narwhals seems very bare bones. Overall, its a nice shop to visit if you're around and worth a visit but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Rolled ice cream is rolled ice cream. Or that's what I used to think at least. Since being spoiled by NarWhals I'm not sure I can visit another shop. Excellent ingredients, preparation, and service. I don't think that I will be going anywhere else for rolled ice cream or otherwise. Reasonably priced desert and friendly staff.

This was a fun experience and I really appreciated the friendly employees. I had never tried rolled ice cream before. I found the ice cream itself to be quite thick and almost chewy. I prefer a lighter, more airy ice cream personally.

What an interesting ice cream shop! Frozen cream is mixed with your choice of flavors and then rolled into log-shapes and put into cups. Loved the experience! Loved the ice cream! Fun❣

Ice-cream was great, they need directions of how to order so they can fix the traffic flow. There were a couple people in there with us and they had to tell us where to go to order. It was very confusing but after we payed and started eating it was really good. The staff could learn some fun techniques with how to chop and fold so it would entertain the people more.

Those of you who loved scrolling YouTube probably remember the early videos of rolled ice cream. Heavy cream is poured on to a cool surface mashed with culinary spackle knifes. The flavors can be customized with whichever additives.Narwhals meet your expectations. The workers are patient and efficient. It is a bit of a wait and could be considered expensive. It is worth it, especially supporting a small business that makes their own ice cream. This photo is half a small coffee ice cream with chocolate drizzle with whipped cream.

Jelisha and keona love the icecreams.. man told us to come back at 2 pm yesterday he teach class how to make it.. it cost $20 for class.. ice cream cost abt $7

Delicious ice cream and very nice service, 100% recommended. Only critique is the wait
