I don't know what these people are talking about that didn't like it. It's friggin delicious! No I don't work for them or know anyone that works there I swear! I'm simply a customer that ordered off door dash and while reading bad reviews got nervous but I was beyond pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. If I had to give one bad comment it would be that it was a little pricey but I can completely understand with all this inflation!
Everyone in the restaurant was kind and courteous. I wanted to like this place, However, the food was terrible. They only offer 3 beverages, and no ice, I had warm tap water in a small plastic cup. We ordered multiple items and every single one of them was bad. The rice was mushy, the rolls were missing imgredients, and they all tasted wrong. The portions were small. The bathroom has no toilet paper, like not even an empty roll or an empty holder, just nothing. I probably won’t return as Richmond has a bunch of better options.
I absolutely love this place. Everyone I have ever brought here loves this place. Small staff that nails it every time.Came here on Valentine’s day when it was much busier than usual and there was a short wait but ye quality of the food was still absolutely delicious.10/10 would recommend!!
We just had the worst sushi experience ever!!!Ordered through Uber eats.Wrong sushi sets,no chop sticks, no spoons for the soup, ordered 2 soups and what they did-they put 2 orders of soup in one cup...Are you kidding me????????
Worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. Fish roe was an off color and tasted weird. Everything tasted weird. Rice looked like it had been smashed prior to being used for the rolls, you could see the seaweed through it. Rice also had a strange taste.
I was there for lunch today. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast and I had a relatively good experience. I had what I thinks may have been a new item on their menu called miso ramen (the waiter also kept asking what I thought of the dish so I am sure that it is a new item on the menu). It's not ramen. It was stir fry noodles in miso soup with some broccoli and a boiled egg ( not soft boiled and seasoned but hard boiled). It was a cold day and it was a nice soup on its own but it most certainly was not ramen nor was it worth the $14 I spent on it (I would have paid maybe $6-8 for it). When I see ramen (which normally is sold between $10-12) with a $14 price tag I am expecting springy ramen noodles, thick creamy soft boiled egg, and a rich broth to go with it (or at least something that can be called ramen). Ramen takes a lot of time and effort, even if it isn't made with meat, so it was disappointing that I spent $14 on stir fry noodles with miso soup broth. I got tofu on my miso noodle soup (which is what it should be called) and I was delighted by it. It's battered and deep fried tofu cubes. They tasted sort of like chicken nuggets to me. If I come back I would order the fried tofu on its own as an appetizer and ask for some sweet and sour sauce to dip it in. Normally I tip but the $14 miso soup made me not want to so I didn't. Since this is namely a sushi place I may come back and try the sushi and give this place a better rating.
A waste of money. The sushi is worse than the sort you’d find at a gas station or grocery store. Some pieces have almost nothing but rice in them. The rice was HORRIBLE. Like gummy-white-paste HORRIBLE.This is the worst sushi I’ve had. Not just in Richmond. Anywhere. Ever.
Ambience is really great and peaceful but the food was alright. Nothing spectacular but on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it 6.7. The plates that the food was served on were...icky. They were dusty and the small saucer on my table meant for the soy sauce was severely so. Miso was watery and ok, I had to pour some soy sauce in mine to make it less tasteless. I'm asian and have tried grocery sushi to $70+ sushi tastings and was disappointed that this was slightly comparable in taste to grocery sushi. I've grown up going to restaurants where the hygiene wasn't top-notch but the food was amazing- however this was not the case in my experience. I really wanted to enjoy this place more but the food falls short of expectations. The owner was very nice though
Each roll was either incredibly bland or outright disgusting. I've never eaten sushi with ground fish instead of whole pieces or sushi that had what looked and tasted like Velveeta cheese drizzled over it before and I'll certainly never do so again. Additionally, the miso soup tasted like water that was shown a picture of real miso soup.Honestly, I'm not sure whether I'm more disgusted with the quality of the food or with how much they charged for four rolls of pure disappointment and a cup of beige water.
Don’t eat here, it’s a zero star. Very bad sushi. No flavor (vinegar or anything) in the rice. very mush rice. Very little fish in the rolls or sushi. I would not recommend. Server was nice.
