We dined Monday, April 18, 2022, with a party of 6 (incl. 2 small children). The restaurant was pretty full, and rather noisy. We were seated quickly, although I didn't see any open tables. It's a big place, my guess is around 200 seats, including the bar area. I had Pho, it was decent but I've had better in Orlando and Tampa. The other diners thought much the same about their dishes (three phos all together & one Ga dong khanh (Spicy Crispy Chicken)). We also had spring rolls & Krab Rangoon, those were fine but unremarkable. Service was prompt and all of our food came out quickly. We barely got through our first round before we were done with apps and dinner had landed. On the second round, we were kind of feeling that we were lingering, as dinner was done & cleared away. Maybe could have closed out the check a little quicker. What really impressed me was the extensive craft brew menu. I haven't been to very many bars that offer such a wide range of ales and beers. It was a nice mix of local and well regarded brews from further afield. I thought the brew prices were reasonable. It was a fun meal!

My Warrior works at the Pentagon but we live in Raleigh, so there are times when he has work late hours in DC. Since he couldn't come home the last couple of weeks we met midway in Richmond for a little time together. We got a hotel room not far from this restaurant, and it was a suggestion. The food was SO GOOD! It was fresh, not heavy. They had a good crowd when we went Sunday evening but we were able to be seated in a fairly good time. We will definitely go back there when when we're in the area!

We had a great time, the food was good, and they have an incredible beer selection! I wouldn't suggest going in the last hour because they don't play around lol they started dropping off to go containers 30 minutes before close and it felt like a not so subtle hint for us to leave. We will go earlier next time ?

Real Vietnamese food by real Vietnamese people done really well. The pho broth was perfectly seasoned and bursting with umami and the spring rolls came out hot, crispy, with just the right amount of filling. If you need something hot and filling after taking pints of potent hop jus to the face, look no further than Mekong.

The food was fantastic and the staff was very polite and kind. The only negative is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Cobwebs on the lights and ceiling tiles that look like they have mold on them from water leaking on them. I would go back but others might be turned off by this.

Today I order 15 spring rolls I wanted the crispy spring ones . Well I ordered the wrong ones . I called and told them they said sure and give them 10- 15 mins I told the person I would bring them back. Well another young lady rolled her eyes and charged me again . Please look at the limited description, I paid because I had come all the way back . I brought the raw mess back in good faith . I was not trying to get over . So today I paid $66 for 15 Mekong spring rolls . Never again . Please Mekong update your menu . People have allergies etc . The consumer should have a list of all ingredients . I donated them to the community refrigerator .SMH

15+ years ago, many of us and the Mekong Restaurant were much better than today. Right? yup. Back then, Mekong hosted a large gathering for me and it was wonderful - good food, excellent service and they worked with me on a menu at an excellent price. Fast forward to now and I knew Mekong had shifted focus to beer but the menu seemed unchanged, so I happily went back...once. For sure I ordered vegetable spring rolls and for sure I was served a pork version. The main course was ok, but nothing like I expected. My friend's order was just wrong, but was accepted even though a manager offered to replace the meal. The food was disappointing, and looking around, my sense is they now cater to a drinking crowd and food is pretty much secondary. On the up-side, I don't know where else you can choose among so many labels of beer!

Tasty food, wide variety, good service. I'm not particularly a fan of Vietnamese food, however their menu is so varied that I'm always able to enjoy a meal. The crispy rolls are delicious, I'm told the pho is quite good as well. I've had 3 or 4 dishes from here and all were good (fried rice, crispy pork rolls, wonton soup, beef dish).

The food was amazing. The food was brought out quickly. The servers were attentive. The place is clean and welcoming. On my list of favorite places...

I used to go to Mekong a ton. It's definitely gotten more beer focused compared to 15 years ago. The ambiance is gone. Food is not bad by any means, but it's not great. Beer selection is awesome, but there are better restaurants for Vietnamese food within the mile around Mekong.
