Amazing experience. The service matched the quality of food to make our overall 10-course tasting an experience to remember. The outdoor patio was gorgeously assembled and the staff was perfectly choreographed to be accommodating without being a distraction. The meal itself? Outstanding. Each course built on the last with more standout dishes than we have found in the Michelin star tastings that we've been able to experience. This is the most creative restaurant in Richmond right now.
Was here for my birthday. What can I say!!From the moment we walked in to the end of our 10 course meal...Top notch service.Top notch food. The attention to detail with each dish and the blend of ingredients was beyond expectations.Great music selection. Will def be going back.
We really enjoyed every dish. It is quite expensive, but I think the experience is worth it. Honestly, it might be a bit out of my price range, but the concepts they provided were really amazing. They really changed my perception on what beets could taste like and be paired with. The entire experience was really amazing and my girl loved it too. The cocktails are really amazing. Sure the price is like 15 a cocktail, but compare these to anywhere in Richmond and it's a steal.I would love to again when my budget allows for the wine tasting or the ten course, but I'm actually in love with what I've had this time.
The 10 course meal had some highlights and the staff were great. The drinks were great. Unfortunately, the food experience did not justify the price. For that price I would expect some really interesting food combinations that really work.
Richmond is coming up and restaurants like this prove it. Glad you don't have to go to DC all the time for this type of experience!
Had a wonderful evening at Longoven. The food and drinks are outstanding. The service was excellent, staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. Having lived in NY for many years, having a place like this in Richmond is a real treat.
Overrated. Crappy location. And overpriced
I went to Longoven for the first time last night for cocktails. The male bartender only gave a menu to my fiance and not to me which I found to be sexist and dismissive. I was disappointed in the service at that point. But then this lovely female bartender with short curly hair and eye glitter came over and gave us excellent customer service. She made delicious cocktails and was so enjoyable to speak with. If you go to Longoven, I would recommend getting cocktails from this waitress.
Having been to many Michelin-star and Michelin-star caliber restaurants around the globe, I was looking forward to my visit to Longoven. For $125 per person (without drinks) prepaid reservation ( to which they also add the tip before you even walk into the restaurant), I was expecting a culinary experience to remember. Unfortunately the experience was shockingly disappointing. Most dishes of the tasting menu looked good but tasted the same, had harsh fried oil base, and lacked any depth and sophistication of taste you would expect in restaurant of this caliber. I have never walked out of a restaurant of this type (and price point) feeling pretty much disgusted and with the clear sense that my palate had just been violated by low quality, tasteless, and way overpriced food. I kept desperately trying each dish hoping that something will change but to no avail. I would never go back to this restaurant again.
Omg...please choose the wine pairing! Beautiful experience for a special occasion. Coming from Europe I was longing for some good food and wine. I was so pleasantly surprised about the devine nectar life on this earth has to offer. Very interesting, delicious and healthy food. I really enjoyed it. The halibut moist and the fermented barley unique. The macha crusted risotto like eden. And those reds from volcanoes in Italy and France...never tasted anything like it. And the Madeira...I want to kneel down.Very sweet wait stuff. But true I left still hungry. Maybe a good thing. And they definitely need an espresso machine.
