Our group of 7 along with 6 others visited this restaurant on our first stop of a food tour. The food sampler was short rib eggs rolls or brussel sprouts. It was so delicious, we made a reservation to come back on a Monday for lunch. We enjoyed their lunch menu. We were offered our table as soon as we arrived, but service was slow due to the late arrival of another reservation. The food was worth the wait. I strongly suggest you stop in for food that speaks to your soul.
Absolutely DELICIOUS! I don’t remember the last time I had food so amazing! I came here right at 11:00 A.M. when it opened for lunch and had the Lillie Burger. It was MOUTH WATERING! At $14, it is a fantastic deal! The caramelized onions were delicious, the cheese MELTED in my mouth, the bacon was crispy, and the two meat paddies were huge (tons of meat). The fries were pretty good too but got a little soggy after 20 ish mins. Overall, I was so happy with my meal and would go out of my way to come here again when I’m back in Richmond. My server was also super attentive, kind, and just fantastic! The bathrooms were also clean. The restaurant has such a cool vibe and the outside seating is nice.My friend whom I was dining with got the Beet and Burrata Salad with salmon and loved her meal as well.100% recommend this place and will be going back when I’m in town again.
I’m upset I waited so long to come here. It’s SO ridiculously good. The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious— run, don’t walk.We shared the fried Brussels sprouts, short rib egg rolls, the fried chicken (not pictured because we demolished it), peach cobbler bread pudding & a seasonal dessert- the crème brûlée cheesecake. There were only two of us. I regret nothing.IT WAS ALL SO GOOD. Everything. All of it. I can’t wait to go back.
The restaurant was beautiful.. The decorations were awesome. I had the lilie Burger. It was cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding. They genuine care about the customers. My daughter got the beet salad with salmon. Everything was fresh. The answer fresh food no nothing is Frozen. The restrooms were very clean. They have an outstanding selection of wines for dinner. I was very impressed with everything. Especially the decorative decorations. We had fried brussel sprouts for an appetizer they're absolutely delicious.
The place was clean, the people were friendly, and the food was incredible -- best club sandwich I've had in my life!UPDATE: I actually enjoyed lunch so much, that I called in a carry-out order for dinner -- fried chicken and banana pudding. Unsurprisingly, it was just as good as my first meal there. Thanks again!
I found it very ironic that the website says they allow a max of 2 hours per table - we would have happily eaten faster but the service was so slow and inattentive that it really detracted from the experience. First dish was out quick but after that, server vanished. Had to ask another to refill water. Finally placed another order and it took 30 min. At one point maître d refilled wine but was never to be seen again. And it doesn’t appear to be a numbers issue as there appeared to be sufficient employees and tables were COVID spaced so capacity had to be down. I rarely tip less than 20% but this one earned it. Now onto the food. We opted for a bottle of wine, roasted cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, short rib egg rolls and a side of Mac and cheese. All of it was VERY good, especially the sweetish Thai basil sauce with the rich egg rolls and the flavorful Mac n cheese. I see why this place is popular but they really need to up the service.
This place is something special. It has an upscale feel but it's truly a laid-back and spacious environment. Kudos to our server Jacob for being warm, knowledgeable and giving spot on recommendations. From the Short Rib Egg Rolls w/Collards to the Braised Lamb Shank and the Crispy Skin Salmon, I am simply in awe with the flavors and the presentation of the food. It's worth every penny and yes, reservations are needed. They get a resoundingTen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from the#thefatmanfoodie @lilliepearl
Food was incredible. I'd go back just for the egg rolls alone. Really enjoyed the soul music ? It's a whole vibe! Everything we ordered was filled with flavor. I highly recommend.
Went to LP for the first time, for a nice dinner before seeing the Lion King at the Altria. Turned out to be a good choice. Our reservation was at 5pm, so it seemed like they weren't fully staffed yet, as we waited about 10 minutes at our table before getting water. But things picked up quickly, and overall the service was good. We had the fried brussel sprouts for an appetizer, which have a nice kick to them. My wife had the seared striped bass, which was pretty average, although a very large portion. I had the smothered pork chop, over hoppin' john, which was excellent. Very large chop, and the smoked bacon cream sauce was great. We decided to share a dessert, and my wife loves banana pudding. I, on the other hand, am not a big fan of pudding. Millie's banana pudding, however, was amazing. The consistency of the pudding is nothing like I've had in the past, and it's a definite home run. We will try LP again in the future.
It was take out and I wish we would have gone in person cause it was really good. Chicken wings, mac and cheese, cauliflower, and a fried chicken sandwich. Lots of food for the price and all fresh and tasty.
