This restaurant is inside the historic Jefferson Hotel, and decor is impressive. This is an elegant restaurant, but you can also dress casually. They have some outdoor tables in a nicely decorated area. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything on it is outstanding. Valet parking or park it yourself in their garage. The service is prompt and personal.

If just for the ambiance and historic value alone, it's worth the visit and if you time grab dinner at the very posh but not pretensious, Lemaire restaurant. Although it's characterized as high-end there were many people dressed casually so don't let that intimidate you . Although upscale, we both still felt very comfortable and found the atmosphere to be welcoming. Unless you're with a family or large group I would recommend sitting up at the bar. The bar has great views of the dining room and plenty of bar top seating is available. The cocktails were crafted very well and range in price from $12.00-o $18.00, and obviously if you have chose top-shelf spirits it could be more . Our entrees were fabulous and the service was definitely impeccable. Plus you can also spend some time meandering around the hotel lobby area. Don't miss the gorgeous grand staircase where the famous scene to Gone With The Wind was filmed.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night. The decor of the hotel and restaurant was elegant. Beautiful old room. Service was exceptional! Meal delicious. Save room for desert.

An excellent place to celebrate a special occasion. The service was amazing and the food was beyond our expectations. The hotel and the restaurant are beautiful. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is quite large with multiple separate rooms. After drinks at the bar, our party was seated in one of the small rooms, but the seats were uncomfortable. Our remarks to the waitstaff were met gruffly and another server appeared with no explanation and no accommodations to our seating concern. The food was without complaint, especially the fried and fresh oysters and fish. Very upscale dining in a beautiful space but the service could be a bit warmer and responsive to patron raised issues.

We stayed at the Jefferson Hotel for a couple nights and had reservations here both afternoons. During both meals we ordered the Shrimp Cocktail, Crispy Chesapeake Bay Fried Oysters, Steamed Mussels, Crispy Fried Deviled Eggs, Hot Honey BLT, Lemaire Burger, Braised Chicken Salad, and Wagyu Roast Beef Sandwiches both with fries. ALL were absolutely Amazing and Delicious! We also ordered a piece of Pistachio Cake and a Dark Chocolate Delight which were awesome! Our servers Daria and Mark were very helpful, friendly, professional, and prompt. We felt well cared for in this establishment.

We have been here several times and they never disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and everyone is extremely friendly. The waitstaff is completely on top of everything. They made my daughter feel special for her birthday by having her name on top of the menu. They know what you want before you even have a chance to ask. As amazing as their entrees and appetizers are, their desserts are out of this world. They have the most delicious gluten free options. Even the GF cakes are moist and delicious. You would never know they’re GF.

My sister brought me this cake because it's vegan and said I would love it. She was absolutely correct. This was so pure- chocolatey- deliciousness!I didn't know they had vegan dessert, but trust and believe I know now and plan to ask for it the next time I'm there.Note to Lemaire- can we make a strawberry shortcake- veganized please and thank you.2/22/22 dinner with family. This time, we were in the Ginter rm. It's a small, intimate room perfect for a private dinner. I was happy to find something vegan on the menu. My appetizer was a Royal Trumpet Mushroom. It hadharicot tarbais cassoulet, lemon gremolata, smoked tomato broth, and it was absolutely delicious. I had a small side sallad that I didn't like at all. It had beets in it, and I cannot stand the taste of beets. There was not enough dressing on here to disguise the bitter taste. For my entree, I had the Cracked Black Pepper Fettuccine withbroccolini, salt roasted cashews, cauliflower sauce... this was good, not as delicious as the mushrooms, but I liked it. And last but not least, dessert... I had the Strawberry Leches Cake(bourbon vanilla cake, strawberry pastry cream, strawberry sorbet) It was the perfect way to end my meal. I absolutely live strawberry shortcake, and this was very similar.Overall a nice dinner with a great server who kept us happy.

Great experience!! We loved it!!
