This is a very nice store. It has anything and everything from seafood to pharmacy. Very clean, polite staff, well stocked. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the slow check out lines.
I've always enjoy going to this kroger. The mass selections, all their meats, fruits, and vegetables are always fresh. Very clean store. Plus, they have kitchenware items, clothing, Starbucks, and self checkout lines that have a belt line along with the ones that don't.
This Kroger falls solidly into the category of "ok". Among stores that have clothes, this one is better than the one up on Staples Mill. Most things are also consistently in stock most of the time. Where the store is beginning to slip is in front end quality though. The staff for registers appear to be becoming Walmartized, very few lanes open even during busy times (the record in the last three months when I've been here has been four registers), and all the self-checks by the pharmacy door have been closed for at least two weeks for no apparent reason. I haven't started regularly going to the Kroger outside 288 on Hull, but I am starting to consider doing so.
Does it even make a difference to write a review? Will any management care? I just left Kroger. I did self check out because only 1 cashier was working. My register said I need to call attendant so I pushed the button and waited ,then waited more. Had I known the employee I needed was sitting on the bench by the door with her feet up and on the phone I would have asked if she had time to help me out.
Losing itβs credibility. Long lines and shortages. Of food on shelves. Kroger at Cloverleaf has become a shopping disappointment. Where this used to be a weekly place to shop and get essential groceries I have found other stores with better prices/sales and products on shelves. Color me disappointed and not worth the drive.
The deli department needs work. I tried to get deli meat cut on Easter Sunday. I was with my granddaughter. A lady was waiting before me. We stood there for me than 10 minutes there were 3 or 4 people behind counter one of which was the deli manager. No one addressed me, to ask if I needed help or said, I will be with you shortly anything. The manager was scrolling on her phone the other employee was cutting deli meat which I assumed it was for the lady that was there before me. However it wasn't. This lady had not been helped either. I asked an employee who walked by who was the deli manager? And please don't tell me it was lady back there scrolling on her phone! The employee was hesitant to say but she identified the manager as the one on her phone. I immediately asked if anybody was gonna help me everybody looked stunned in the deli when I started in on how they where lazy n disrespectful to the customers. I left my basket and went to the front to talk to a manager. He was uncaringing and told me to lower my voice I explained to him with out every customer that was in Kroger The deli and him would not have a pay check. I explained that each time I went to deli no matter what side of the deli, the employees would not address the customers standing there because they said it's already cut meat and chicken on display. Bottom line this is unexceptable and shouldn't be allowed to treat customers so unpleasantly. As I said on that day shame on Kroger and I will never spend my money there again. Because of the disrespectfulness of the staff I will go to another grocery store that appreciates me and my money.
This Kroger is the best in Richmond for online orders, and I've been using this service for years. I've never been disappointed. Inside, the store is large and overwhelming to me. But the online pickup is so easy, there's no need to go in. Shoutout to the pickup team, who have always been prompt and friendly. They do a great job!!!
My favorite grocery store chain. The fresh food such as sushi and salads are amazing
The quality of the meat in the deli and crabs and seafood and chicken is actually good it was the room man customer the rude and racist meat man that I encountered as I was taking pictures to do my review to be a great contributor as I always do he approaches me as if what I was doing on my device was wrong asking me what was I doing and he saw me taking pictures and do I need help and but the way he said it was just very rude I already had a lady taking care of me she was actually great but that's my discount not because the quality of the food because that is good
