Service - not friendly at all.Food - my bestie ordered and vowed never to return again. She ordered stew chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and cornbread. She only liked the cornbread.Me - well I thought I'd try the mac and cheese and cornbread. The mac was cooked as if someone boiled the noodles and placed the cheese on top hoping it would melt. No taste. The cornbread was good. If I have a craving for cornbread, I'll return. So disappointed.
Very Rude!!! Allowed many people to wait over 30 minutes without simply telling everyone as they came in that everything was SOLD OUT BEFORE CLOSING. Won’t be going back. I can’t stand when Jamaican places are rude because people already stereo type them as rude.

I had gotten 2 jamaican beef patties & they were old & hard as a brick. I can't eat them & is no longer in the area in order to return them & get my money back.
Had the most amazing brown stew fish and curry chicken.
The cashier wasn't pleasant, low tone when speaking with a mask on but expects you to hear her. The food was way too spicy.
I was surprised when I called and placed an order for two large oxtail at 11:30 a.m. that they told me the food would be ready in 10 minutes. Apparently they cook in bulk for the day and they just fill the orders as they come in. This is a plus because most of the time when you order oxtail it takes forever. The oxtail were not season very well, or they had not had time to let the flavors sit in. The rice was okay and the cabbage was okay as well. I ordered a beef patty which was kind of old and dry. The cornbread was bomb. I did save some of my oxtail for later I added a little curry powder and the flavor was much better a few hours later. I think the seasoning had time to sit in. Also oxtail had lots of gristle and did not fall off the bone. I will try this place again and maybe not order within the first 30 minutes of them being open. Maybe the food will have absorbed more of the flavor.
The worst Jamaican food I've ever tasted!! The brown stew chicken was so dry and old that you couldn't eat it, and the island fried chicken was tasteless and soggy. Never again!!
Looked good but... Chicken was very dry hard and cold on the inside. The cabbage was warm and seasoned well. The rice was horrible! Half was hard & half was chewy like plastic. This was my 3rd time trying Kristines. 1st was oxtails that were all fat and 2nd was curry chicken which was cold as well and lacked flavor. The beef patties all either to hard... To hot... Or all gone. Never have I been able to get coco bread. The lemonade will send you into sugar shock!
This place is a dive.. So - don't go in expecting beautiful decorations, or tableside service, or any kind of experience comparable to other restaurants. However, despite the sparse decor - the food is just wonderful. The cornbread is absolutely delicious ( We asked the proprietor what she puts in her cornbread, and she cheerfully responded " Lotsa Luv " - and we can taste it! ). You will not be disappointed!!* I have not ordered goat or oxtail in my visits *
