Went to Hogheads for dinner while in the area for work. Wanted to try a couple of things, so I ordered the combination/sampler. The BBQ was very sweet and overcooked. Not much of a bark on the ribs or pulled pork. The Mac and Cheese was dry. The fries were good. They do have a good selection of beers. The live music was enjoyable.
Cute place. The food was very great good. Great place to stop if you are craving BBQ. They do an excellent smoke. Sauces were quite good too!
Great menu items, recommend Arnold Palmer with lime and club soda. Oh, checkout their pretzel special.
My food came out cold when I let the service/manager know she told me that the kitchen said when it came out it was hot. Then charged me $5 for eight onion rings. Had to keep asking for condiments that was charged for. I really don’t think I’ll be returning again good luck in your experience
Staff is very friendly. Thought the BBQ was just ok. Nothing wrong with that but heard all these reviews I thought it would be better.
Now if you wish to have a down home southern cuisine experience then this establishment will give you that. From the Sweet Tea, Limeades, chili cheese fries, Hog Sampler, Hush Puppies, Blackberry Cobbler, Banana Pudding, etc. I guess I am sharing most of the menu and the Crab Cakes and Catfish as well. We left this establishment STUFFED and how could I forget the Wings (Barbecue and Hot). It was just so much but it was a great time. So go and visit Hogshead Cafe for the full down home southern experience.
I have found a new favorite appetizer and that is Hogsheads Crab Pretzel! So cheesy and amazing. I also got the Fried Pickles, Catfish Reuben, and Buffalo Oyster Poboy. Too good!! Go try them!!
Staff was really friendly! I def recommend checking their fb page which lists their daily blackboard specials--the menu is huge and the portions are HUGE and well worth the price. Since we just moved here, this was one of the bbq spots recommended by some coworkers and locals! The sweer potato fries were really good! All the sides we tried were, The Hot Dog was SO good! Wrapped in bacon, topped with pulled pork and coleslaw!
The food was outstanding! We will definitely be back! Lauren was a fantastic server too. Very attentive and helpful with food suggestions.
Really good food served with conversation and a smile. happy hour is awesome too! try the oysters or the catfish bites. Mmmm
