2nd time in and have to say the brunch during my first visit was superior to dinner this time. I ordered crab cakes which came with asparagus and a small, arugula salad. The salad was fine yet I wish the pink onions were the ginger I hoped they were. Oh well. Asparagus were mediocre veggies cooked as perfectly as possible. I could only eat 1.3 of the 2 crab cakes. They were quite dry and way over-seasoned for my tastes so they had the effect of Mexican food that's too hot due to overuse of one cheap ingredient. Some bread would have helped but that was not part of the dinner. Then, still being a bit hungry, I ordered the key lime pie. I can see why it's so popular - pretty hard to eat the entire slice. I brought more than half home and wonder if I'll really be able to face it again. Perhaps. I have little doubt that saying something about the crab cakes, would have resulted in an alternative or the offer of some correction. Instead, I just ate what I could and let the rest go.

We headed to Hobnob on a Friday for dinner. The place is pretty cool, service was solid and overall food was great. We had the deviled ham and pimento cheese, mushroom rigatoni, fried chicken sandwich and brie and tomato sandwich. The fried chicken was awesome, super flavorful and slaw is great. The pimento cheese was also a highlight. Blueberry mojito was solid - wish they had more cocktails. Overall a good experience at a Richmond American Southern ish joint

Thouroughly enjoyed the food. Fantastic!! I had the shrimp and grits and would eat it again and again and again. I loved the ambiance too! Kudos to the team there. We went for Sunday brunch and were able to get a seat at the bar no problem but reservations are highly recommended for that day I am sure.

Yes! All of this! Food delicious ? Staff friendly. I can see why reservations are recommended. Interesting flavor combinations and definitely worth it!

Wife's Coconut Waffle Brunch with Maple Syrup and chocolate drizzle was absolutely fabulous. My Crab Cake Benedict, however, had too much old bay (was very salty and If I had seen that spice on the menu, granted, I would have avoided, so beware). But if I had liked Old bay, unfortunately, the Biscuit was still a bit dense and the poached eggs were overcooked, I mean, completely hard yokes. So this trip was a 50/50 as I do not like paying for food I did not like. The last time we went (lunch menu), my wife ordered the (seasonal) pear salad - again, fabulous!!!, and I ordered the Shrimp and Grits which were awesome!!! So, every cook has an off dish/day...I will try again, but will be more particular when I order, like saying, "I like my egg yokes runny" and if they come out otherwise, send them back!

In the area and decided to try since new to us. Online menu looked good so we pulled in. Very small and we’re told we needed reservations for Friday lunch since drizzling and their uncovered patio was not in use. They have a large covered patio but they already had reservations for noon. Sat at the bar. Bartender was great and very obliging. Food was Excellent! Asked to see dinner and brunch menus and found many other meals we would like to try so plan to return. Was a delightful dining experience.

I was surprised at how busy it was on a Wednesday night, nearly full inside and out. Decor inside and on patio minimal, actually pretty sterile. There’s no effort outside with plants or umbrellas. The food, however was good. We had fried green tomatoes, fried chicken Cobb salad, mushroom pasta and brisket and cheese flatbread. The fried chicken was crunchy without being greasy. The flatbread I thought was a strange combination, I didn’t like it at all. Would return to the covered part of the patio.

First visit, everything was absolutely delicious. Great service… made reservations days in advance which helped, as this place is busy! Highly recommend.

We love small local restaurants and Hobnob didn't disappoint, the food was excellent and the staff were awesome. It didn't matter who your waitress was because they all seemed to help each other out. The inside is quaint but they do have some covered outdoor seating. On weekends I would definitely make reservations because they get busy.

Went for the fish and chips but alas they were out so had the shrimp and grits. Tasty bowl. Husband had the cheddar bacon burger with fries. Fries good. He said burger was delicious. Couldn't finish it. Great service. Sat outside. Heaters were running so it was very pleasant. Recommend
