The coffee was good. The service not so much.
Highly recommend Grit! The staff is warm and friendly and the iced coffee is divine. There aren’t a ton of food options, but what they do have (pasties and simple breakfast sandwiches) are tasty. Patio is great in the spring/summer.
If you like artisan coffee you should put this one on your list!

Ok... Thank God it is not a Starbucks... I was greeted by an incredibly upbeat and friendly girl.. she explained all the coffees to me served mine with no delay. I am definitely going back. Any coffee affecionato will do themselves justice by going to Grit coffee
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a delicious espresso, with a lovely outdoor seating area! I'll definitely go again when I'm in the area.
A great place to sip a hot drink, have a good pastry or biscuit, and get some reading done or work on your laptop. Lovely, nice people behind the counter. Highly recommend Grit Coffee :)
Just because the barista can afford the 2nd edition apple airpods doesn’t make it okay to talk on the phone while a prospective customer is at the counter nor through out the whole interaction.That initially didn’t put a good taste in my month. After looking over the menus, I was going to order the “newly added” fall drink, but having it described as ‘very popular,’ I went with the classic americano. As I was struggling to pay for the drink with my apply pay, due to the mask thing, she hovered in front making sure I can afford an americano. Once the transaction when through, she rushed away to talk on the phone while making my drink. The Decor at Grit Coffee is nice and simple, but everything felt like a worse version of the pretentiousness at Lamplighter, with coffee that isn’t as good.
