Prepare to wait yall! I went today for a friend's birthday to Sunday brunch. All the reviews I had read said that service and food were really slow so I went in expecting that. Doors opened at 1 and seating stopped at 2. We got there at 1:30 and were greeted by plastic silverware and music being played so loud you couldn't talk to the person next to you. There was no explanation of how things worked or when food would come out. For the entire restaurant I think I counted 3 servers max. Food didn't come out until 2:45pm! Yall when I say I was hangry and newly deaf all at the same time. Luckily the food was good but it was a bottleneck of people trying to get the food once it was out. After brunch was an actual DJ not just a Playlist of music and dancing. After I ate I was much more content but the experience was lack luster. I wanted to hang out more but the music was so loud my husband got a headache and we had to leave. Decent food, very poor communication, slow staff, and weird setup.
Went on a Wed at about 6 and no greeting upon walking up to the door wher two servers were conversing. Dirty menus although the place was nearly empty, wasn’t allowed to sit in a booth despite the lack of a crowd, one of the servers is smoking hookah right in front of us in the hallway every 5 min , too too loud music , and half the menu was unavailable. This place is ran so sooooo unprofessional and it’s a shame because when it was Mini Bar it was actually nice. The highlight of the night was that our waitress was sweet( tall girl with the short blond hair). Other than that I don’t see you all in business long term. Two thumbs down
Decided to check Frozay out on a random Tuesday afternoon. Service was quick, and the food and drinks were good. We'll definitely be back -- there were lots of great sounding drinks on the menu that we want to try!
Had a ball. I most definitely will go again. The music, the drinks, and oh my goodness the fooood was on point. Rell made the best undercover sneak up on you drink. I would give Frozay a 1000 stars
Food is really good. Loved the honey jerk wings and crab cakes. Service is beyond slow and it is very expensive!
I was looking for a nice chill soul food restaurant situation, and maybe it is during the day. I went on a Saturday night and I was disappointed that it felt like a Saturday night at a bar… plastic cups, very strong drinks. I was just surprised because it appears online that it’s an upscale Black owned “soul food” sit down restaurant. (I didn’t exactly see soul food in that sense on the menu tho). All this is cool until I got my bill. Basically, for the prices and added service charge, I would have appreciated food that was well prepared by a trained professional. You cannot put a whole bunch of goop on a penne noodle and call it a pasta. Hugeee bowl of pasta with overcooked shrimp smothered in some kind of orange alfredo sauce with very obvious amounts of cayenne pepper. I couldn’t even see the broccoli in the dish. Oily, too…it was really bad. I’m a foodie and very visual. So it’s the difference between a meal prepared by a chef and one prepared by a cook. Which is no shade…but in getting what you pay for, going to a restaurant with a modest $50+ plate may be an option over this if these things I mentioned stay the same.
So disappointed this used to be such a nice place, I’ll never return after tonight. I did not come to smell like marijuana when I leave. Service is slow and the taste and presentation of food has gone downhill. I used to be proud to bring ppl here or recommend it, never again. I hate this for a black owned business. Oh and a lobster tail taco (the 4oz tail was cut in half) for 10$ w/ no seasoning…just getting way over!!
If I could zero stars I would, I’ve eaten here when it was minibar and since it’s been rebranded. The food is usually pretty good but this place has the worst customer service/leadership. They are listed on DoorDash and apparently have not had the capability to even use their DoorDash machine for AWHILE now. And expect paying customers to know that, so while your Dasher is otw to pick up your food, you have no idea that your order has to be cancelled and then later picked up. Unless you call. And oh wait, the number listed on Google isn’t the number listed on Instagram so good luck there. Just bad business man. Waited almost two hours for food that was never prepared or even on its way.
DO NOT ATTEMPT BRUNCH AT THIS PLACE! You pay an exorbitant amount of money to wait HOURS after brunch is supposed to begin. The drinks are watered down and gross. Huge waste of time and money.
First time at this place. Will come back. Service is very friendly. Food is delicious.
