So this was my first time ever going to Frank'sI was excited to eat at what I thought was an automatic Italian restaurant.I beg to differ. I was completely disappointed with the entrée.I ordered lasagna and expected to be layered with ricotta cheese and meat....I saw a trace of cheese and the meat was non existent. I did get a bowl full of sauce with over cooked noodles. I think...no I know I would have gotten a better results from a frozen Stauffers do it yourself package. Frank's I will not be going back. Definitely not worth the effort nor the money. I gave you 2 star's because I did enjoy the salad and fresh bread. Thanks
Food was good as usual but when asked why there was an automatic charge for using credit card there was a sarcastic statement " what's the problem we will take it off." So are we that point when customers are scammed by a few pennies. If every customer you had tonight was scammed how much extra did you make. Tell your customers what they are being charged don't just add something onto the bill and have sarcastic remarks. I pay with cash it that still acceptable at your restaurant?
Customer.for 20 years, unfortunately the consistency and quality has suffered through time. Usually the pizza is good to great, however, last night was a huge disappointment. There was very little cheese, skimpy pepperoni and garlic was almost non-existent - flavor profile was way off from what was expected given the lack of toppings.
Food is excellent, staff is friendly and if you get there before it gets too late you can get a seat. They do take reservations but keep in mind that the seating is very close and for some reason every time we go we get seated right beside somebody else even when there are empty tables or boosts in other parts of the restaurant. It is difficult to have anything close to private conversation but worth it for the food.
I had picked up a pizza here once running for Doordash. The entire ride, the smell of that pizza had me convinced that I needed to try the pizza at Frank's. Last night my wife and I decided to finally give Frank's a try. My first impression was that it was small, quaint and inviting. It was dimly lit with a candlelight glow. The staff professionally dressed and seating was comfortable. Our server was professional, knew the menu and specials well and offered some great recommendations. We ordered an appetizer of fried artichoke which was very good. My wife had one of their breaded veal dishes and I got the Thursday night special, Detroit style pizza. I eat a lot of pizza, it's always a go-to food for me. I'm not a fan of heavy breaded pizza, it's usually just too much. The BEST Detroit style pizza I have ever had...EVER! Soooo good! Not wanting to get completely stuffed, I only had one slice and enjoyed it with a pint of Legend Brown Ale. The cheese on that pizza...you could stretch it across the room! The edges were crisp and just what you would expect from a good Detroit style pizza. I love that! We shared a dessert which was a caramel ice cream sandwich. Something very simple but very upscale. The menu choices were exactly what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I have never been to Italy, but I may have been there last night. We plan to make Thursday nights a thing at Frank"s. Looking forward to my Thursday nights! What I thought was an excellent pizza at MAC Pizza and Wings, Frank's has taken the trophy!
My husband and I go for dinner there couple times a year. If you like pizza this is the right place. But otherwise I would choose different place to eat. And the service is never good.
Really not sure what happened to Frank’s, maybe they changed kitchen staff or owners, but my take out today was not worth the $40 spent at all.I’ve had the fried calamari before, but today was the last time as this is the 2nd time they were like this. On top of there barely being any fried calamari they were under seasoned, soggy, barely battered, drenched in frying oil and served on old lettuce with brown spots. The only good thing about it was the store bought Thai sweet chili sauce. The Marinara also tasted off, more like a tomato sauce made in the same pan as ground beef for spaghetti .The burrata with tomatoes were nothing special, also heavily under seasoned. The Margherita pizza barely had any sauce. Also, it’s crust was quite thick and partially undercooked.I guess we also forgot our last couple of take outs, as other reviewers mentioned and were hoping for the quality that they the used to have that we loved.P.S. The gluten free pizza crust is definitely not made in house, and seem to literally be some poor quality store bought flatbread. Like they put pizza toppings on a pre-made gluten free flatbread, put it through the oven, and shrugged like good enough when greeted by something that Wawa could even do better than. Also don’t order extra cheese as they never seem to actually put extra on it despite charging for it.
Purchased large Margherita pizza. Crust poor quality-particularly taste. Meager toppings. Sauce tasted canned. Fresh mozzarella rubbery. Will not return
Ordered carry out said it would be 30 minute . Came to pick up order waited 30 minutes for food wasn’t busy at the time . I think they forgot our order . I would recommend calling to make sure food is ready . Average cuisine .
Starting with the mozzarella sticks and finishing with the lobster ravioli. Best in town. And the pizza is pretty good as well
