Very cool atmosphere and service staff were very attentive and friendly. The Japanese Ramen was delicious, Malaysian Ramen was a little bland for my taste. Calamari was perfectly fried. Chicken satay was tasty. Get the KFC chicken and Pad Thai. Drinks are made properly.

The Bao Wow buns are popular for a reason! We've had them the last three times we've come in and they're always 10/10. The Chinese ramen is delicious. The kimchee fried rice was good but frozen veggies and not super crispy were a minus. Mixed drinks can be hit and miss but the beers and ciders on draft are always decent. If you're in the Fan District and looking for a new dinner spot, Foo Dog will do just the trick.

Very low quality. We got the Malaysian ramen, the udon noodles, the gyoza and the Shazam shrimp appetizer. The ramen broth was terrible. Both broths lacked flavor. The noodles were overcooked and the ramen eggs were not seasoned. Real ramen comes with a seasoned egg. The basic ramen only comes with bean sprouts, scallions and noodles. The egg and meat are both additional charges. I got the pork chasu and it was tough and dry (which tells me that it was a cheap cut of pork and not the tender pork belly). The gyoza were burnt on the bottom. The shrimp appetizer was ok. Overall not a good experience.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. I got their Chinese style ramen and added pork to it. Very good. I'm not native to the Richmond area so the parking was the most daunting. Luckily, I nabbed a spot right out front. Will definitely stop here again if I'm in the area.

The food and atmosphere is amazing!

I hadn't been to Foo Dog in quite some time, which is a shame because they are arguably one of the best restaurants in the fan. Every soft boiled egg is perfectly cooked, the ramen is always spot on, the cocktails are classic with their special twists and they are delicious. Our server, as always, was extremely kind, patient, and often came to check in on us. I can't think of a better place to take someone on a first date - the atmosphere is fun, tasteful, colorful, but not over stimulating. If you enjoy anime, street murals, origami, or a variety of fun shows being broadcast on multiple tvs, then this is your place. I highly recommend the calamari, the Kim chi noodle ramen with an egg, and the mule!

The pork gyoza was delicious and the hostess that took my takeout order was super nice. Unfortunately, the Japanese Ramen with shrimp might have been the most flavorless and inedible dish I've ever had the misfortune of ordering. The shrimp was like cold unseasoned tough rubber and the broth left much to be desired. Even with this being said, I would go back to dine in just for their gyoza again and try a cocktail. Just probably going to stear clear of the Ramen lol

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, food was good, but not stellar. Had some squid and chicken Ramen which was okay. The broth was a bit thin for my liking and the noodles were a little bland.I would visit again to try other menu items.

Foo Dog is normally really good but this was an odd situation. I ordered the Bao Wow sandwich which came out cold - luke warm at best. When I notified the waiter, he proceeded to touch it and agreed that the dish was not to temperature.A few minutes later, he returns with that same dish and notifies me that he reheated it and it should be good. I reminded him that he touched it with his bare hands and asked for a remake. Though he was quick to oblige, I shouldn't have had to make this request. I was shocked. Not too long afterward did a young lady bring me another sandwich, but im not even sure it was a freshly made one. Between covid, germs, and simple etiquette, I'm not sure we'll revisit this place.

The Malaysian Ramen is very flavorful and delicious. The fish tacos are also surprisingly good and would recommend.
