Food was good. We came with a large group. Owner said pick 4 entrees, we will.make family style dinner only. A few only wanted appetizers or dessert, as they had come for the group, not a meal. We asked if this was possible, he said no. That or leave. So some left. I guess he doesn't want new business or care about his reputation. Food was good, not great.
The strong smell of fresh garlic when you enter sets the stage! I love the beautiful white tables next to the windows, really gives it a nice vibe. Especially when the sun is going down. The pasta dishes are all excellent and the entrees as well. My favorite thing on the menu is the scungilli salad…YUMM. If I had one gripe it would be the martini. Not crazy about drinking it in a tiny juice glass but that’s it! Everything else is superb!
Wife, daughter, and son-in-law had dinner here on a Sunday night, We had reservations, and even a 8pm the place was slammed. That did not deter the wait staff, our waitress acted as we were the only table she had. I wish I remembered her name, but she had a hippopotamus tattoed on her inner arm. She was a gem. We tried and split a variety of dishes. All were perfectly prepared, arrived hot, and delicious.
A small restaurant that sits on the 2nd floor with an entrance that makes you think you’re walking out of a maintenance closet. Very unassuming. Don’t let it fool you though, as soon as you walk in it has a very cozy and classic feel.Wife and I didn’t have to wait long to be seated and the servers were very attentive. I would highly recommend making reservations, the room was practically filled at 630pm on a Monday evening. I was able to make a reso after 3pm the same day.Meal portions are super generous, expect to take to-go if ordering individually. Fried squid was deliciously seasoned and texture was on point. The Sausage, Ricotta, Broccoli rabe w/ penne was good and flavorful, was only a little disappointed that it came out just luke warm. Staff was quick to fix and to my surprise brought out a freshly made plate.Wife got the Mixed Seafood pasta. Big bowl of pasta in a light, fresh tomato sauce with a layer of mixed seafood on top. Seafood pasta done right!Although the setting was intimate, it was a little bit too intimate with the tables for 2s sitting close together like a setting for 4. But I guess that’s the charm.Overall, a definite must try! We hope to go again and try the many more options on the menu.
Food and Service were excellent! There were 4 of us and we shared fried squid and the crostini w/beans and arugula appetizers. We ordered different dinners: pork chop special, broccoletti/shrimp, mixed seafood and shrimp fra diavolo. We weren't expecting such large portions!. There were also many specials offered that were very tempting. All in all we had a great celebration night!!
Terrible service! Waited an hour and 20 min for our food and the waitress didn’t stop at the table once after she took our order. Finally part of our tables food arrived, ended up canceling mine so we could catch our show. 5:30pm reservation ended up leaving at 7:00pm without eating. Watched as waitresses’s would take used breadbaskets off customer tables stack them back on the bread counter without changing the cloth napkin and send them back out to another table. Don’t waste your time. Party of 4 and paid $215 for three entrees and a bottle of wine since mine never made it out. The rest of our table got to enjoy reheated microwave food when they got home.
My wife was having a rough day and I figured we needed to go somewhere we had not been in a while. I was right Edo Squid is always great food and the right atmosphere. We had a great night and the branzino was great like it always is.

Fun old-school Italian spot with great cooking, generous portions and efficient, friendly service. We tried a number of different plates, fried squid, squid with beans and arugula for starters. Then for the mains: veal scallopini, polenta, beans and cotechini, and several pasta dishes. It was more than we could eat so we ended up bringing a lot home, but all very tasty. The restaurant has a GREAT atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when back in town.
Everyone said this place is great so we decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. You get a ton of food with each order.Pictured are the crab meat spaghetti and the fried squid both were great. Also ordered the brocoleta which was ok but I am more into crunchier vegetables than soggy. Regardless I'd come again
