I don’t understand how hard it is to say, “Hi, how are you today?” I guess it takes a college degree, because race comes a factor in it. I walked in today and the female employee looks at me, says nothing and stares as if I’m gonna do something. However, when a family of a different race walks in, they are greeted at the door. Anyways, when my order was ready, she didn’t say anything and acted so terrified of me as she slid my drink to the edge of the counter. I did not feel welcomed at all. Really hurts my feelings to know that after all that’s been going on in this country, racism still occurs.
This place is amazing! I go consistently for their mango smoothie with the popping peach boba. Its amazing! The restaurant is clean. They are very timely when making orders. (Seriously fast) The workers are so nice. They truly make their customers feel really appreciated. (That's important to me) I was having a bad day the other day and the lady taking orders suggested me a macha smothie with crystal boba. She made the drink and handed it to me. Has she handed it to me she smiled and created some small talk which made me feel better. From that point on I decided to be a regular here.
This place is dirty. Dining area not only overflowing with supplies from the back, the floors look like they haven't been swept in days. Found 2 hairs in the bottom of my $6 drink... and my ramen was missing the egg...I like domoishi but I would NEVER eat at this location again.
I got a Taro Bubble Tea with brown sugar boba and it wad disgusting I mean.. horrible it tasted like tobacco vape juice. It wasnt the taro flavor either I eat plenty of taro in Hawaii.. Based on the flavor alone I have to give this a one star. Absolutely horrible.
Very amateur chain. While the brothtasted good, the ramen looked like it came from the .35 packets. The chicken tastes like it was frozen, and the veggies weren't steamed all the way. Way over priced compared to the quality of its competitors. Stick to Takara.
We just moved to Richmond and this was our first dinner, poke bowl was so fresh, pork bun was really good. Karage felt little chewy then it should be. But overall food were great ?
I ordered some miso ramen on doordash and checked off the box for no eggs or fish cakes and also added a note specifically requesting the dish to be made vegan just to make sure to be clear, and it still came out with eggs. Also the ramen was pretty mediocre overall, the broth was decent but the noodles were all stuck together in one big block and the toppings were lackluster. If it was cheaper like $8-9 then that’d be fine but for $13 I feel like it was a ripoff, definitely will not be returning. I’d much rather pay the same amount for a much better bowl of ramen elsewhere like at Takara Ramen or KTown
Such a disappointing experience. Ordered the garlic soy wings, a poke bowl, and a boba tea. Wings had great flavor, but they gave me the skimpiest wings I’ve ever seen in my life. No exaggeration, the six wings had about 3 wings worth of collective meat on them. Not cool. The poke bowl was borderline gross, with low quality ingredients (the tuna and salmon were super pale and didn’t taste like any tuna or salmon I’d ever had) and generally stingy portions. Worst of all, this place is not cheap, so for them to be serving as little food as they do at those prices is pretty insulting. Definitely go elsewhere.
Top marks. Great food quick. Good amounts of food for the price. Very healthy options especially when choosing the right bases and/or sauce.
Absolutely amazing! Will be back!!Edit: had to update my rating. I really love this place, so tonight I thought I'd treat myself. Ordered my usual -to go. Got home and neither of the two proteins I asked for in my bowl were included. Tried to call to see if it could be corrected and their phone isn't connected (I tried multiple times). I don't know how to feel about not being able to reach them for customer service purposes. I picked it up on my way home so I don't have time to drive back out there to get it fixed :( big bummer for a $13 dinner.Edit to my edit: went back in this afternoon to let them know since I couldn't reach them on the phone. No questions asked, she just re-made my order. I'm back to being a very happy customer!
