I am disgusted with my experience here...today, on Mother's Day when I just wanted to order brunch for myself and my family. I ordered food online and I got there 10 minutes after order was supposed to be ready but I was told it wasn't ready yet. I patiently waited then asked again but it turned out the guy misheard my name and my food was actually ready. I then realized I didn't have my drink, and the guy in the back (I believe is the owner) starts yelling about how there's no drink on the ticket. So I showed my receipt to the guy in the front that clearly showed the drink, but the guy in the back is continuing to YELL "I DON'T SEE A DRINK HERE, AND I'M NOT MAKING ONE UNTIL I SEE IT!" He was loud, rude and aggressive when all he had to do was look at my receipt. A lady even came from the back to tell him "Don't upset a mother on Mothers Day!" He then made a big deal about IDing me which I understand, but I can almost guarantee he wouldn't have done that had I not called him out on his boorish behavior toward me. I've ordered from this place countless times because I believe in supporting small business, but I don't support poor comprehension/reading skills and lack of customer service. The food is also hit or miss.
Southern breakfast at its best. I don't buy all the negative reviews. I have 20+ visits and I have seen my food take 'longer' 1 time. This is an excellent establishment.
The catfish and grits is so good I also look for a good soul food place in my area because I'm not from this state and I wasn't disappointed got to try other things
Things you should know:It is located in a small office center. This is Chesterfields first "virtual restaurant." Black owned. You can eat in, but 98% of their business is takeout. 10+ different restaurants in one spot all owned by the same person, just different types of food, variety at it's best. The sign says A M Kitchen, this is how you find the restaurant. They do not deal with people much so do not expect excellent customer service when dining in, but expect good food and basically the restaurant to yourself. They have minimum hours of operation.Food Review:The best damn catfish I ever had. Cheese grits didn't look special, but I was wrong they were so good! The fried eggs were seasoned you hear me not salt and pepper SEASONED... So good. The biscuits were fluffy and flavorful.My husband loved the gumbo gravy on the catfish and grits. I didn't want gravy so I ordered my catfish on a biscuit and cheese grits and eggs on the side.
Do not like to see white chunks in my scrambled eggs. Scrambled eggs should be scrambled first before cooking not cracked in into the skillet then stirred...thats pretty much a fried egg scrambled up!!! Biscuit was hardAnd I think people in food buisness should wear a mask while working with food cause sometimes you can talk and food flies out ur mouth!! I will say the fried potatoes was tasty less some of the grease. I might try again maybe lunch next time..i give places atleast a few chances.
This place isn't worth the money and they run out of everything. When you search for the business it comes up as a field. The floors in the kitchen are greasy looking and the employees will touch their face or body with no gloves on and keep working on the food. Not professional and no sanitation or servsafe rules in place. Food poisoning galore written all over this place. Avoid it if you don't want spend the day in the bathroom.

Waited an hour for the food, and the order was incorrect. Employees yelling at each other in the back. Very unprofessional.
Biggest waste of our hard earned money, ever - truly. Food was served cold and in plastic throw away containers. I had to get up 5 times to get everything we had ordered. How do you serve a biscuit that's not even hot enough to melt butter, without the butter AND the knife to spread it. Oh, and if you order coffee, be prepared to get it yourself but at leadt it was hot. And please know if you don't appreciate a good curse word, don't come here as the kitchen staff had to "F"
This was no the best breakfast. It was horrible. I will not order here again. I mean how do you mess up grits? The seasoning in them was disgusting and they had no cheese like they were supposed to. The eggs were not good. The best thing was the bacon. I usually don't put reviews about restaurants but I had to for this one because it was terrible.
