We travel through Richmond Airport regularly on our way to and from trans-Atlantic flights. We always visit Cross Grain and find the wait staff here unfailingly pleasant, polite and helpful. In addition to the always fresh, tasty food it makes that part of our journey a real pleasure! Thank you all at Cross Grain RIC. Our waiter today was Kayla - she was great! Friendly, welcoming and efficient! ????

Stuck in RIC for a lengthy AA delay, decided to get lunch at the Cross Grain across from my gate. Ordered the chicken sandwich with chips and a ginger ale. First strike….no ginger ale. second strike…the bun was enormous and covered up whatever was inside. chips practically overflowed the plate. But what about the grilled chicken? I think it was microwaved with some sort of mystery coating. Was not visually appealing and lacked taste. Third strike…$21 and change. At least give me a kiss if you’re going to take me for a ride. No go….won’t be back.

The service by Savannah S was exceptional! Fast, friendly and very pleasant. The salad was fresh and chicken cooked to perfection. Great place to grab a bite while waiting for a flight in Richmond.

Before or after your flight you should check them out. I got the grilled cheese and can’t complain

Avoid the place at all costs, slow service, bad attitude , employees on their cell phone in the back. 45 minutes for fish and chips? People who ordered after me got their food way before me with the correct order. Eat before you get to the airport as this airport has very few food service selections. funny gets to me in the fish isn't cooked in the middle and I ordered french fries and they brought chips instead. They need to get a new manager and a new kitchen staff.

The chicken tenders not worth a try.. getting a drink with the bar full or empty is almost impossible. Bartender makes drinks and serves food non of the other staff help. I guess I just don't get their workflow but it is not efficient. I figured that they were short staffed but when everything cleared out it was the same.

We had a great experience at Cross Grain Restaurant! The staff were friendly, helpful, and fun and the food was good! I’d like to acknowledge Tanya, Lisa, and Val as people that were nice and helped us. Thank you!

Food and service were both great. Savannah was very sweet and the whole team seemed like they were happy to work together.

After being delayed 2 hrs, we decided to eat here in spite of fluctuating reviews. We were greeted by Lisa with a smile, she wiped down our table, and gave us menus. After about 5 minutes, she came back and took our orders: 2 waters, 2 Grilled Chicken Caesar Salads. She smiled and said how easy that was, and I think that's the key when ordering food, especially at an airport. Make up your mind, get your order in. She brought us waters, and 15 minutes later we had 2 huge, fresh salads. They were very fresh and tasty. Especially if you're traveling for leisure, keep it simple. It just makes it easier to enjoy your time off and make someone's day a little more pleasant. I'm sure these folks get their share of difficult. Thanks Lisa!

Business traveler, in this terminal regularly. Multiple televisions in the restaurant, every single one set to NASCAR during the week of the wind-up to the Masters Tournament. A polite request to change one of the televisions to the golf channel was flatly refused. This airport needs more options for layovers, because this place is anything but hospitable or accommodating to their paying customers.
