Very disappointed in Cracker Barrel. Service was awful. The waitress could have cared less we were seated in her area. We waited a while before she even acknowledged we were there and she be with us shortly! Coffee tasted like it was a week old! Turnip greens were so salty, asked for corn muffins received nothing! When she brought our food she swung around to the table across from us with two young girls to take a selfie before delivering our food! Took her forever to come back to see how things were! This was between 7:30-8pm 7-4-22 . I can overlook a lot of stuff but When you ignore me and goof off and the food and service aren’t good you’ve got a problem!
Slow , dirty, and sad! They seem to make you wait in the store for at least 20-30 minutes just hoping you find something to buy! About 1/2 of the wait staff seem to be new and confused! Management is working i a tank top!
First time I've eaten there and been disappointed. Food wasn't good. Fries came out separate from the fish. The fish almost cold, barely enough tartar sauce in the cup to put on the fish. Out of all the times I've eaten here this was the worst experience.
This is normally my go-to Cracker Barrel so I’m pretty upset that todays visit was so disappointing. We were a party of three that visited on Thursday afternoon, around 2pm. It wasn’t busy at all. The restaurant might have had 2 other seated tables at best. The service was nice, the waitress was attentive and funny but the food was sub-par. My medium steak came to the table well done. The sawmill gravy and grits were both flavorless. The pinto beans were over cooked and unseasoned. There wasn’t any plausible reason for the food to be that poorly prepared.
5/15/22Came in today to pick up some last minute birthday gifts and was assisted by a lovely lady named Alexis. She was very kind and amicable to us and many other customers and made our trip feel like a meeting with an old friend. If every company had an employee like her, the world would be a better place. Keep on shining. Alexis✨️
Had to wait for a seat even though not full (about 5 minutes) because of being short staffed. I thought they handled it well. Had breakfast for dinner as I always do st Creamer Barrel and it ea.s good. This was just a stop on a trip so the atmosphere was welcome and relaxing.
Waited 30min to be Seated once we were Seated we waited Another 30 Minutes for our Food meanwhile there were at least 12 our More tables Empty. They were doing more Carry- out Service than People. Walking in to Eat. Those Poor Servers don't make Tips of Carry out. Short-Pump location .CRACKER BARREL DO BETTER
Great service our server Jenny. She was very patient and attentive. Mangers were awesome, especially Greg! Greg, literally went out his way to accommodate us. Great food also!
smaller and smaller portions for the sides, plus I ordered my steak MEDIUM to MEDIUM WELL... "just as long as it's not WELL DONE... guess what??? it came out WELL DONE and appeared to be smaller than the previous times that I've ordered the SAME EXACT items. I was told not to leave a tip, by the other people that I was with, but I felt as if it wasn't the server fault that the cook there over cooked my steak..., and normally I would of sent it back, but after waiting so long, I just ate it ... It tasted good, but it had NO PINK in my steak. and the sides were WARM to cold on other plates, not cold on my, but definitely weren't HOT and fresh tasting ...Oh my green beans were the hottest thing I ate, next to the biscuits...
Good grief what a POOR experience! Drinks were empty most of the time and when she brought our food out with the wrong sides we ordered I was told “We’ll I’ll look again at what I wrote down.” Um, no, I don’t care what you wrote down you messed up two people sides in the party of 4… That is your fault. How incredibly disappointing! This is my favorite restaurant but we won’t be back.
