Literally came to this location multiple times a week. Forgot to check out one night because I was rushing to something else. Came in the next day and the bartender in front of everyone said in a raised voice “you didn’t pay us!” I apologized and paid immediately and spent another two hours there. Every single time I go in now that bartender won’t even serve me and has repeatedly told me I have to pay when I order because I didn’t pay that one time. After waiting 25 minutes to even order food after I was told only she could help me, I left yesterday and won’t be back. Have better personable, nice people working there. Just because I made a mistake and forgot one day it’s not like they didn’t know I would be back. No reason to yell I didn’t pay in front of all the customers and make sure to keep saying it multiple times when I come in and spend $50 or more bucks. I will never be back again. I get keeping the same bartenders but when they are rude and won’t serve your customers you should prob reconsider new staff.Have been back three separate times to give this a chance and she still refuses to even look at me let alone serve me. Why is it okay that if one of your bartenders decides she doesn’t like someone that they can’t get serviced? Especially when this person works basically everyday hence I cannot get any service when I come. She’s been rude and nasty to tons of other customers and if you all are running an establishment this way you should be out of business.And you say to contact you but there’s no contact info and no worries other way than asking the same person that doesn’t serve me to contact you and trying to get this same person to contact you which won’t happen.
City Dogs is the perfect spot for a delicious bite. Their hotdogs are some of the best in Richmond, and they have a soy based vegetarian option if you don't like pig. Their french fries are amazing with a nice crispy crunch. Support a nice family owned Richmond restaurant. Come on by to either location and taste what I'm talking about.
Their food was exceptionally good. The Honolulu dog was the prize winner for delicious. The staff was extremely kind and helped with everything we needed. Almost too kind to be employees in a shop on this earth. Was a great delight with our server being the way she was.
The place is cool and all but those hot dog and fries need some seasoning or something. Other than that seems like a cool hangout spot to grab a beer and watch the game or talk to folks.
These guys aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. They're sticking to what they do well and they knock it out of the ball park (pun intended). I'm from Syracuse so I am hesitant about any dog that isn't a Hoffman and I don't know where they sourcing but I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the Chicago dog and fries. Both were great! Hooray for real hand cut fries! Two dogs, two fries, two drinks, 20$ or so AFTER the tip. To top it off the service was just as good as the food.
No Google , i HATE YOU GUYS. I havent been to city dogs in ten years.. Stop asking me how i enjoyed a place i havent been to , or a place i have been to for that matter. I know how to tell them myself.
After waiting a long time (which I get, I work in a restaurant too) my burger was super burnt. I was so hungry I ate half and gave up. Tried to get a water to wash that shoe down with but the bartender was gone. The other 2 employees were at the end of the bar, look at me and continued conversing. Finally after 2 min she comes over and says the bartender can only take orders and walks off. So I bluntly bark, I JUST NEED A WATER, which offended her. Ridiculous and terrible experience. The bartender was nice though.
They have an excellent steak n cheese. Fries are very good. Burgers and dogs are good too.
After a long day @ Maymont Park stopped in and got some good dogs
Been here too many times to count and I've always left happy! Very chill environment. Good menu, great prices. The hot dogs are bomb and the fries are amazing. Kind, attentive service every time. Its a nice place to hang out and have a beer. Cheers!
