My burger was great! I got a custom turkey burger and added my own toppings - the bacon and the garlic aioli were awesome. The brioche bun was fresh and buttery, almost like a croissant. Turkey burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. I got a caesar salad with my burger which was just okay, the dressing didn’t taste like much other than lemon but it was still good. Have to say I am a pickle girly and the pickle wasn’t great, but the service made up for it! Great music taste from the bartenders.
Pretty good burger place in my opinion. The beef patties have a different texture and better taste (organic, grassfed) and the menu is full of options. Good variety of beers and cocktails. The fries-to-share come in a portion the size of a large fish bowl (for me, unheard of outside USA) and are delicious too. Bonus points go to the staff who, in contrast to other reviews here, were very helpful and friendly to us.
We ordered the shishito peppers and onion rings for our appetizers and both were pretty good! Some of the peppers are spicy so if you’re not good at eating spicy stuff, just take a little caution while eating it. The burgers are definitely fresh and delicious! The brioche buns matched perfectly. The fries weren’t the hottest and the crispiest when they came out and could’ve been fried for 1-2 minutes longer. However when I put them in the air fryer at home, they came out great!Our server was also very nice and awesome!The only thing that wasn’t comfortable for me was that the smoking section for the outside seating area and it was very close to where we were eating so the smell came all over our table.If you have any issues with that, I recommend asking the workers if you can have a seat far from that section.Overall the experience was nice and I totally recommend!
If you want a really great burger who's price is in line with its quality then this place is for you! My buddy ordered the shishito peppers for a starter and they were on point, freshly made and not too spicy with 2 dipping sauces.We both got the steakhouse burger cooked pink and opted to get the regular fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and tasted unlike anything I've had, I'm sure it had a lot to do with the meat that is used. Cheddar cheese is local as well and the bread is too. Even down to the bacon it's all locally made. I just can't rave enough about the quality and their service, my man Adam hooked us up with impeccable service and made sure we had everything we needed.Please give this place a try next time you travel to Richmond VA!!!
As always, exceptional food served promptly and expertly by friendly staff. I enjoy coming here as much for the energy of the place itself and the staff as for the food.Wonderful selection of local and fine fresh ingredients. Good bar selection if you are a drinker. Friendly staff.One of my favorite burgers in town, and that is saying something.
Waited 30 mins for a burger and fries. Truffle fries were a 8/10. The Citizen Burger was a 4/10 no sauce and very mediocre. The waitress was really nice tho and offered me a discount for the wait!

Shishito Peppers as an appetizer are fabulous. Not spicy just flavourful. You can build your own burger or choose a specialty burger. The truffle fries are worth the extra cost. Extensive bar menu. Happy hour is from 4 to 7 p.m. and the chocolate milk stout was only $4.
