I really wanted to like this place. Like REALLY wanted to but I just can’t deal with extreme unprofessionalism. I’ve tried to patronize this restaurant at least three times and each time I’ve been disappointed. The first two times, I saw from their online hours that they were open, walked to the restaurant from work and the doors were locked, no one came to the door when you knocked, lights were out and don’t try to call because the message you’ll receive says that the number is out of service. This third time I figured I’d give them another shot but by placing my order ahead of time and picking it up. I placed my order, received confirmation that they received my order, they took my moment and then said it was ready. I walk to the restaurant and again am met with a seemingly empty storefront. I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant unless you like to be scammed. The food is probably good and the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because they’re black owned. Otherwise one star it’d be. Won’t be shopping here or trying to ever again!
Sweet tea is very good, the honey biscuits was extreme hard. Almost like a scone, so I was a little confused based upon the reviews I had seen. But the fried chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. Seasoned extremely well. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. Will definitely be back for seconds.
I went in around 4pm. Two hours after the listen open time.It took 30 minutes for food. Which I chose to wait for. I was expecting the food to taste better. It was not bad. But it wasn’t really good either.The chicken left a burnt flavor in my mouth for a while. The fries were not crispy. Although I said I’d be eating in store, the man working tied my bag closed.I’m not sure if there was a call out or something that put the staff in a difficult spot for prepping or what, but it was not as great as I was hoping. I’ll likely give it another shot some time in hopes of updating this to a 5 star instead.
Delicious! Tenders were perfectly cooked and juicy, biscuits were right on. Sweet tea was 10/10. Great customer service.
Loved the food! We went on a Sunday and the food was made for us on the spot. Nice and hot! Service was fast and friendly. I heard they may open an location in NoVA! I hope so!!!!! Will visit again in April when in Richmond again.
First time in Richmond and this place is so magical. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I’m in this state. Their fries were sooooo good. Best Honey Mustard ever. 10 stars.
My first time coming here was absolutely amazing, the food and customer service was like no other! My food came out extremely hot and well seasoned. I ordered my food from their website! The honey butter biscuits are made to perfection and the cajun fries with the tenders were crispy and full of flavor! Definitely a 10/10
Went here as it was convenient to the convention center and it’s definitely a hidden gem for chicken tender lovers.
I'm sorry but this place is low key kind of trash tbh. I ordered from here 4 times and all 4 times the food was wack and in the middle of Black History Month!!! I used to think it was a one time thing, but every time, the food is cold. I had to get my money back because I was misled by the photo, that the Chic'n Sandwich came with more than just one little chicken tender on a bun. I'm being nice by calling it a 'chicken tender' because it was actually more like a Chicken Crumb. I tried to let it slide, but then I bit into it and it was a block of ice. Almost broke a tooth on that thing was so hard, and cold.The fries were more like french fry shaped potato chips. Hard and over-seasoned.The Honey Biscuits were more like biscuit colored pieces of stone. Also hard for some reason? Like day old bread, but more like ancient old bread. Honestly, the biscuits were so hard I was unsure if I was supposed to eat them? They looked like prop biscuits or something. Like the kind you see in a food commercial. Felt like expectation vs. reality.I really do love to support my people but I know ya'll can do better than this.
This place has the best chicken ever, I loved their honey butter biscuit and everything was just so fresh and delicious! Will be coming back soon ?
