Food is great! Good portion sizes. Very friendly wait staff. Good selection on the menu. Very enjoyable dinner there with friends!
Delicious..calamari was perfect ..tender lightly battered...worth the visit..oh and very affordable. About 9 of us "Westies" met. We were catered to. I can not wait to go back. Nice atmosphere...for friends, family or a date
It was my first time visiting Chianti. The Michaelangelo was awesome. I got the white pizza to go. The pizza a good but a little drier than I would like. The crust has a great flavor.
Can’t believe this restaurant has been in our backyard for years and we’ve overlooked it. Family-run Italian restaurant. Food is authentic, reasonably-priced with generous portions. Atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. It has quickly become one of our family favorites!
We have been patrons of Chianti's for nearly 20 years. The quality of the food never ceases to amaze us. They have also catered many events for us and there has not been one single time that our guests did not want to know the name and address of the restaurant. I actually, would not use any other caterer for an Italian menu. The service is outstanding and their attention to detail couldn't be any better. The photos of the entrees they serve are dead on. The restaurant has a very pleasant family atmosphere. Frank and Marta are truly a treasure!

Best pizza and stromboli in Richmond. I have been a regular for years. It is a family owned and run local favorite. Frank and Marta are the nicest people as well as customer oriented chefs and owners. Servers are attentive but it can be busy at times. Take out is convenient including deserts - tiramasu, canolis, or cheese cake.
Solid Dining Experience! Quaint atmosphere. Started with a MOUNTAIN of crispy calamari, cooked perfectly. I mean a huge plate; couldnt finish it. Server recommended veal marsala. Did not disappoint. A bit heavy on the Vidalia sweetness but that's not a critique. My son's penne vodka was very good. No jar stuff here.So why not 5 stars? Minor quibbles: no bread offered (better for my belt line). While the salad greens were very fresh, with a variety of greens on the plate there was a dearth of other items in the salad...one small grape tomatoes on the wrong side of ripe.A great meal, my first in the Richmond area in nearly 30 years.
Love Chiantis for pizza and movie night. Some of my fav non-pizza items are the roma salad and fetticuni alfredo. Also the desserts are delicious everytime.
I want to preface this review by saying this is a fantastic restaurant. Nearly everything I've had here is excellent, the service is prompt and friendly for both dining in and getting takeout. I've dined here multiple times since moving to the area and their pasta dishes are wonderfully executed. That being said, I feel like their pizzas need to be cooked a little more to prevent the cheese from sliding off the crust, but it is otherwise very enjoyable. I ordered the chicken piccata recently and while it tasted good, it was drowned in sauce and was rather underwhelming given the $20+ cost when I feel like I could easily pull off something identical/better at home for a fraction of the price. This is a great place to dine though with some things that could use improvement. Overall the taste of the food is wonderful, there are just a few small nitpicks here and there and while I will be a little bit wary of some dishes compared to others, it is a great restaurant to order from for lunch or dinner.
