I walked into this place wanting to be critical, because I remember when I used to come here in 2018-2019 the service wasn't very friendly. They also have a snarky Q&A on their website which I find unnecessary.BUT I can't deny that this place is incredible. This is definitely among the best ice cream in Richmond and probably in general, it's definitely in my Top 2. This place and Scoop are now my go-to recommendations and where I will be going for my cravings. I ordered the Peachmallow and the Princess Cake, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed (especially Princess Cake). The prices were also pretty good compared to other places. The staff turned out to be SUPER friendly and welcoming! I walked in a bit nervous that they would be mean, but I ended up feeling really comfortable there. They don't offer samples, which is pretty typical of most ice cream places in RVA these days. I also want to agree with another review I read and say that I do wish they offered flights, so that I could try more of their flavors since they're so unique. I always wish I knew why their hours are so strange. I'm sad that they're only open a few days a week for around 5-6 hours each day.Amazing ice cream and I will definitely be back!
Wish they offer flights. So many good and interesting flavors, but couldn’t try them all. Would’ve ordered four scoops if they offer kid scoops, but they only sell them to kids…ok ?♂️. Ended up only getting two regular scoops. But they were very good.
Literally horrible for the vegans… tried the cherry limeade(mid… tasted like chemicals. It was bad) and pistachio (super mild flavor. The texture was nice but if my eyes were closed I’d never know it was pistachio.) same issue with the peach mallow… no peach taste at all it was so disappointing. The store is really cute and workers are nice but the vegan flavors are not it.
Incredible ice cream (vegan and regular) always with the most interesting flavors and friendly staff. Richmond is lucky to have this local treasure. Don't skip on the toasted fluff.
I got the Peanut Butter Swirl and Cinnamon Struesel, the Peanut Butter was great but I didn't love the other one. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is because they don't give out samples, this place has unique flavors so it's hard to pick without a sample. I feel like other ice cream places have started to give out samples again and so should this place.
The ice cream was good. Only visited once but will definitely be going again. The second in my short list of ice cream shops I've enjoyed their product.
This is our FAVORITE ice cream shop in RVA. As a vegan, I always find they have such a great variety of flavors and toppings. The vibe is always great and I love their mask policy!!!! We are always HUGE fans of their new place, Study Hall. If you are questioning whether or not to go there for ice cream, just go! You will not regret it!
Overpriced, under-scooped, still masked? $5 for a kid sized scoop leaves a lot to be desired. The “cookies in cream” was more of a chocolate chip. Getting yelled at to put on a mask as we walked in was a nice welcoming touch… nothing like virtue signaling to the world as other customers five feet away eat ice cream without masks on…
I haven’t been here since 2018 and I swear it’s even better than I remember? Thai iced tea and lavender caramel cones with torched marshmallow!
Went there with some family members. We tried one of the vegan ice creams, vanilla, tea time, and a couple others. Everyone agreed that the ice cream was great! I especially enjoyed the tea time ice cream. It was earl grey tea with pieces of cake in it. I don't know how the cake stayed perfect without getting all mushy. The only complaint was that one of the teens in my group thought the texture of the sprinkles didn't go well with the vanilla ice cream. So glad they had vegan options. This is good for lactose intolerant people as well. Everyone in my group was able to find something enjoyable.I don't quite understand what a charm school has to do with ice cream. It might be good to get a bit of back story on the creation of this business. It's slightly odd to walk into an ice cream shop decorated with wallpaper featuring books and book shelves. I actually passed up eating at this place multiple times in the past because of the name and the photos online. After finally visiting, I'll eat the ice cream but I'll definitely pass on the decor. ?
