We have been looking for a good burger place for a while. We found a new spot! We ordered the I-64 burger with tater tots. We thoroughly enjoyed our burger and the tots were crispy which we also enjoyed. It’s small inside, clean and simple. Fantastic service, That’s something that’s hard to find now days. We will definitely be back! Thanks!
We brought my 94yo Grandma for our Friday burger night. She loves her burgers and shakes. This place has really good burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes. The funnel cake was massive. Plus everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful.
Came here on a date night with my wife and at first glance I thought I might be disappointed, it’s not one of the bustling swankier places downtown offers. I was pleasantly surprised with how good everything was! The “smashed”burger patties are unique and delicious, served slightly charred (but not dry), ingredients and toppings were fresh, and the taste and temperature were great. My wife and I also split a hot dog and a house salad and we were both pretty full by the end of the meal. Prices were great for what we ordered. This is a quiet and delicious hidden jewel. It’s obviously the owner had dream for this place and went for it.
Can’t speak to the in-house experience, but do not order for to-go. Fries were inedible completely overcooked. Received a salad that was advertised as with tortilla strips and lime wedges. They were 5 whole tortilla chips with no lime wedges and no dressing. Served in styrofoam which we all know turns everything soggy. They completely did not include a whole order of mac and cheese. Just overall a terrible experience and waste of money.
New favorite burger joint! Burger was so good and the fries are to die for. Cannot recommend enough.
Stopped in for a burger and hot dog after reading good reviews. Everything was excellent and service was very fast. Smashed patty was juicy with good flavor and the grilled Sabrett hot dog was done perfectly and served on a grilled potato roll. The hand cut fries were cooked properly and they were able to get one order crispy without over cooking the other. The tiny space is laid out to maximize seating but if it had been busier it would have felt crowded. Server wore a mask and patrons put theirs back on after eating. Overall the restaurant looked very clean.
3-5-22 Smaller location than I expected, but looks like they do a very good business. Staff was great. Cheese fries were really good, delightfully salty without going overboard. For reference, I am a fan of the processed cheese sauce like this location had. I tend not to be impressed by shredded cheese that other locations use. My favorite type of burger is a smash burger. The best versions I have had, including those homemade, utilize a higher fat ground beef, and the burger then comes out dripping a bit. Capital Burgers version is moist but somewhat plain. Higher fat generally equates to more flavor. Capital's burger is generous in diameter, and seemingly good ratio with toppings and buns. We both wished for more standard toppings like crunchy lettuce, and a little more cheese. Would I go again ? Yes, to try a different burger, and to to also try the onion rings that the other reviewers are raving about.
My boyfriend went here with great expectations of this place, only to find the complete opposite. The food was not at all what we expected. The burgers were very dry and the fries were soggy and burt ( that comes from not changing the oil). As for the service, there wasn't really any. We had to call over the server to take our drink and food order and again we we were ready to check out. I work in the food industry and the experience we got is what you shouldn't do. Hopefully the next place we try is alot better.
Great food, great shakes, great people!Pic is a footlong Belevedere dog with chilli and onions added. Drink is a chocolate milk shake. Both great!Came back again. Same dog, but this time i got the fries and an orange float. Both were great! Shake tasted like a cream sickle.?
The place is really small inside with a few tables outside. I got a chocolate milkshake and it was amazing (OK I haven't had one in years so maybe it was just good but it tasted amazing). The burger was average, fries were really good, Mac and cheese was average and a small portion, corn dog was good, and the salad was average. Overall food was good but the total price for everything was $45 which is a bit on the pricy side. If price matched quality and quantity the start would go up.
