Came here on a Friday. Happy hour ran until 6. Ordered mushroom pappardelle. Food came out quick. They also had a guy playing guitar inside. Very relaxing evening.
Brambly Park is, without question, a hidden gem in the corner of Scott’s Addition, let alone the Greater Richmond Area. It offers a multitude of dining experiences, ranging from a laid back, self-services park-esq area (where the food is as great as the conviene of ordering from your table and watching the food make it’s way to you), to a more upscale Bari area complete with a covered patio! The wine selection is vast, with an option for every taste or palette, which pairs perfectly with the food offered. For not being a dedicated pizza place, they have some of the best in the RVA area. The Tartufo, with its combination of mushrooms, argulula and wildflower honey, is one of the most unique combinations of flavors I’ve had on a pie in a long time. The beer and cocktail menus are no slouch either. They carry, from local breweries, a variety of drafts and bottles or cans. The “Pinã Killer” is an absolute must! The staff is friendly and attentive, and I have yet to see anyone here give a customer a bad experience.Would highly recommend coming, whether it’s the park area or inside, it’s worth the visit!
This was like a hidden gem..i have been living in richmond for about 4 years now and never got to know about this place..this is an awesome place for outdoor drinking on weekend with live events.. We went in June and there was a music release event going on.. Good food choices and drinks are nice too..very nice vibe overall...helpful staff..dig friendly
When I order a hummus platter I expect veggies, pita bread and hummus. What we got was fried pita (why, just why is your pita fried?!), homemade potato chips and 4 carrots, some tiny pieces of celery and four slices of tomato. The platter was mostly chips and fried pita which does not make a hummus platter. Brambly Park, you have an opportunity to be better. Had the food been better we could've enjoyed the park more because the wine and live music were great. But this was truly disappointing. On a very hot day, no one wants fried food.
This review is for the park, not the indoor restaurant. It’s hard to post a poor review for this place. The ambience is SO special, they are SO dog friendly, the live music is absolutely lovely, and the service is solid. It’s also amazing how clean it is, given that there are dogs at almost every table. The sparkling wines are fabulous for the summer. The poor review is exclusively for the food. We thought we’d start with the hummus and veggie platter, and pimento cheese, and share a pizza later. Oh boy.The hummus is good. The pimento cheese is good. But… the massive servings of fried chips and fried pita were so incredibly off-putting, we couldn’t make it to more food. Frying pita bread is a crime against Mediterranean food (and carbs, in general). It doesn’t taste good, the texture is awful, I have NO idea why anyone does it. Especially not with thick bread, like this. It’s like biting into a deep-fried kitchen sponge. Secondly, 4 carrots, 4 pieces of tomato and 5 celery sticks, do not maketh a crudité. I found a waiter and said I’d pay whatever they wanted to charge, for an actual plate of veggies. They were nice enough to comp it, but, for the 3 of us, we got the same again. I literally would have forked out $25 for an actual plate of veggies. People who order hummus and veggies are probably the wrong audience for an inordinately large helping of fried accompaniments.I don’t know any group of people who could put away that volume of chips and fried bread, but maybe that’s just me. Either way, we would probably have spent another $150 on drinks and food, had the appetizers not been so awful. We picked around the lard snacks, finished our wine, went to the grocery store for veggies and hummus, and finished the party at home ??♀️If the food was good, and they had any, real, healthy food options, I’d be camping out there every weekend, all weekend. Pity. The search continues…
Food was great. Avoid the literally watered down cocktails. Stick to beer, liquor, & wine. Service was great.
Service slow . Never received bill total and given on IPad that asked how much for tip. We put 20%. The bill was $300 for 4 people and we all did not order meals mostly shared and had a couple of drinks. I should have paid more attention. The tip must have already been added or items added to the bill
The atmosphere is incredible! A beautiful area outside and inside. Plenty of games to play and a good spot to hang with your friends. The manager even hooked me up with a complimentary drink on Easter. 100% recommend this place. It will be perfect as spring warms up and summer comes around.
Went to dinner tonight for a friend's birthday and even though they had a corporate event they accommodated our party of 9 beautifully! Our service was impeccable and efficient...and the most special touch was a complimentary dessert plate for our table. We will be back!
Bramble Park is such a vibe. They have several options for seating, just pick your mood for the day. You can sit indoors at a table or at the bar and spend your visit outside. Outside there are tables under a covered area abs then there are large picnic tables with umbrellas, as well as my favorite… the Adirondack chairs. You can go for brunch, do a wine flight, or spend a day outside grabbing pizza and a drink while listening to live music. The choice is yours! It’s also family and dog friendly.
