Great pizza and service, loved the passing trains.
Visiting from out of town and hotel bartenders said the food was âfineâ but that there were better places to eat. Totally correct. The condensation from the HVAC dripped onto our table during dinner. We put napkins on the table to absorb the water. The waitress didnât offer an alternative. We had to ask for plates for our appetizers. Food was fine. Would not make a special trip again.
After the waitress disputed us that our beer was the same weâve always had (Heifenwisen/Paulaner), in ordering dinner I asked to sub green peppers with mushrooms; when I told waitress my pizza didnât have mushrooms she disputed me and said they may be under the cheese, I told her I saw none and tasted none. She went to ask cook and then brought our a plate full of raw mushrooms! But claimed they heated them. I asked waitress to take them back and just bring me a Dr. Pepper of which she brought back and slammed it on the table! Then, our table was back to back with chairs of the table behind us so I clearly thought they would not seat anyone at that table. Low and behold they did and the lady of the party squeezed in the seat behind me that was so close beside me that her long hair was dang on on my shoulders and I was pinned against the wall! I asked her to move so that I could get out of my chair and slid it on the side of our table! So shortly after being back seated, the male of that party spilled soda across their table and a waiter came to clean it up, and as he was walking back past the back of my chair with the nasty rag, the rag dripped down the back of my jeans!!!!!! OMGosh at this point I wanted to just walk out but I stayed cool and called the manager over! He apologized about them squishing that party right behind/beside us and said he saw his staff seating them and thought âwow they shouldnât have done thatâ but he made no effort to come and move the party to a booth right across from us! He also explained that they did change the brand of the Paulaner and offered to remake my slice of pizza to go and he would remove it from the bill. He took the beer charge and my drink off the bill but not the slice of pizza. No big deal but do what you promised to do based on the conversation we had. We will probably not ever return.
Upon finding this in my food, the manager Charlie was rude and disrespectful. No explanation, just, I’m sorry! But you still have a bill!!
Our server on the upper outside deck was exceptional!
The atmosphere is not perfect but the restaurant is situated in a cool spot on Canal Street. Our waitress was very kind and overall did a good job. The pizza was not very good and a large pie cost me 42 dollars. The crust is thick and buttery and the toppings are absolutely loaded (especially the cheese). It was just too much and very greasy. If thatâs how you like your pizza then this place is for you. If youâre like me and enjoy thin crust, ny style then go elsewhere.
We sat outside on a beautiful night in Richmond. Plenty of room on the outdoor patio. There are multiple floors to the restaurant, seating on the ground floor as well as upstairs. Service was fantastic. Our server, Abigail was attentive and accommodating. My wife and I shared the caesar salad and it was AMAZING! At this place, you can get "slices", which is equivalent to 1/4 of a pie. The slices are a meal unto themselves. I got a goat cheese slice and my wife the Chesapeake slice with plenty of crab. We loved this place. Highly recommend. Easy to find, right on Dock Street in Shockoe Bottom. Incredible pizza and would highly recommend this place for something different on the typical pizza fare. Tons of varieties and sizes, plus pastas, salads, desserts, pockets, vegan choices, appetizers to die for, burgers and sandwiches as well as a kids menu. Also, tons of special sauces in lots of combinations to create your own pizza. This place is amazing. Truly a gem off the beaten path.
Outside dining was super load with train. Pizza is Awesome!
Hostess service could be better, their took their time to decide to seat us even when there was nobody else waiting to be seated, they just were chatting. The assigned table was a little bit dirty. The service of our waiter was nice, the food took a while to arrive. We had gluten-free pizza and it was Good.
Such great pizza! The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. Definitely worth the wait. Parking can be tricky..
