Wow Really!!!! Every other non- minor you let in . But when it comes to others, you need to see Proof of vaccination of the COVID-19. Maybe put that on google so everyone knows and doesn't waste their time. I will not waste my money at this out-of-date place. It's amazing yall have been open for so long and this place has not done anything to update. This place can take people's money but, can not even change the decor, customer service, music, etc.***A great place to go to that is well diverse with LGBTQ + is SWITCH BAR on W.Broad St. Great updated music and drinks.
This is hands down the best gay bar in Richmond. From two main bars to a third patio bar, jello shots, dance floor, pool tables, they support Stonewall Sports. Great mixed drinks, great prices, great music. Themed danced parties!!!!! I have so much fun here and always feel safe and welcomed. I met two bartenders Chaz and Patrick who are so funny and nice, this place is your one stop for gay bars in Richmond!!!!
A little confusing to figure out tbh, but that might be my own fault. I've never been to a queer bar before and so I didn't realize how many rules/expectations there were. The person checking the vaccination cards was so nice though and wished me a happy birthday when I went! I really wanted to see the patio and volleyball court but I couldn't figure out how to get there...
Draconian door guards will slutshame you for wearing shorts and a tank top. Decor is old, dirty, and dilapidated. Food is gross and drinks are watered down. Not worth the cover charge in the slightest.
As far as Richmond, VA is concerned, Babes of Carytown is the place to go when you want to dance. Saturdays are the best night and the place will be packed. Good selection of music played by the DJs, and very friendly staff.
I loved the people there. The crowd is great I made lots of friends. Pretty young crowd. But this one bouncer was a huge Debbie downer. Me and another person stepped 2 feet out the door to hug our friends goodbye and she wouldn't let us back in (literally 2 feet, she watched us hug them). Our cards, jackets and friends were all inside, we paid $20 to get in there. They weren't closing for another 40 minutes. Locked out. Idk if that's normal but it definitely was a sour ending from a great night being locked out from your friends dancing inside no idea where you went. If this is a normal practice I've never encountered it.
Boring establishment! I’ve only been here twice and it is the last time I will. First of the first time I went there one of the bartenders stole my debit card, they begged to open a tab for me and when I asked for my card back at the end of the night they were like “no, I don’t have it” Went back the next day and another waitress said “you probably dropped it or left it in a taxi or Uber” I didn’t even drink that night so I remember exactly what happened, he said at the end of the night they run the card even if it was forgotten at the end of the night, so if he didn’t have it how did I get charged?? Anyways they need to update the music and staff because everything is like from the Stone Age, what a way to keep your business out of business.
Had a great time definitely be back nice people running the place drinks were right on time and music was great
10 out of 10. Cheep beer, boys, and babes. What more could you want? I’ve met a few guys here and have always had a fun time. Now that I’m in a committed relationship I still go here and enjoy the beers. I run into some past lovers and that’s always a great time.
Great atmosphere. DJ plays throw backs and currents. Drink choices a bit limited. The patio is great for catching some air and conversation. Watch out for phone thieves.
