My daughter went to this “establishment” while she was in Richmond visiting friends. She ordered a crab cake sandwich, which was not to her liking. Now we all know that if you’re at a restaurant & don’t like something prepared, they will either replace it with something else or take it off of the check. This place did neither!! I called to the restaurant to talk to the manager “Elizabeth” and after a heated conversation, she took the sandwich off of my daughter’s bill, went over to her table & told her and her friend to leave!!!People of color, DO NOT eat here!! There are plenty of black-owned business in RVA that you can visit for a phenomenal experience!! With a name like 3 Monkeys, I can see why she was treated the way she was treated!!
Stopped by for Sunday brunch a few weeks ago, and ordered chorizo eggs benedict. Everything on the plate was fine, except for the eggs, which basically came out hard boiled - not runny at all. And, our waitress never came to check on us for me to even indicate dissatisfaction with my meal.When I finally managed to flag down our waitress, I explained what happened, then she apologized and sent the manager over to our table. When the manager arrived, I re-explained the situation to her. Her response was, "Well if you had told us earlier, we could have re-made it for you." (No, I couldn't have, because nobody came to check on us.). After this, she told me that, "The kitchen makes the eggs ahead of time, and a few are bound to end up overcooked."I understand this, but as I was pretty chill about the whole thing, and even mentioned that I wasn't *that* upset about it, and more so wanted to let them know in case another customer was pickier than me, it seemed to me that the customary thing to do would be to discount the meal, even a bit. Instead, I was charged full price, and was issued a half-hearted apology and excuses.
This was the worst customer service I've ever received. We waited 30 minutes for our food only for half of it to have never been put in. Then when the part of it was nasty and we told her we didn't want it, we were told we still had to pay for 50% of it. After that we spent another 30 minutes waiting on the check. We requested to speak to the owner and kept getting the run around although we could clearly see him at the bar everyone kept saying he had left.The manager Savannah actually told us that the owner wanted us to get the f%#k out after we told her why were not satisfied experience, as per her request of "what could i have done better?" This was 100% unacceptable and rude and we did nothing to warranted that response. We will not be back especially not with the current management & ownership.
Our waitress was great but the manager at this location was extremely rude. She stared at our table during the majority of our stay. Eventually we realized she was trying to force us to leave when she randomly came over to clear off our table (keep in mind she wasn't our server) and then told us she wanted the table to seat other people. This is not an establishment with reservations, so it's extremely unprofessional for her to try to compel us to leave so she can have our table. We sat at our table for a few more minutes after that, and she returned again to ask if we could move to a booth, so she could have our table. Even the waitress came over and apologized for the manager's behavior.... which is practically unheard of. We decided to leave because we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I'm not sure I want to return after this experience.

Great neighborhood bar. The food is okay but most don't come for the food rather the drinks.
Pitchers of Mimosas. #1 Chicken and waffles with honey sriracha sauce. #1 Bloody Marys. Great food. Great place to brunch! ???
Always yummy. I didn’t get drinks this time but the people I with did and had no complaints.
Just okay. Slow service. Food is decent but nothing to write home about. Was dark and loud in the main area. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place.
Online order pickup at the bar is not at all convenient. Good luck getting the bartenders attention when they're busy serving a busy bar.
