I've been going here for a while. GREAT FOOD!! Noticed my bill was quite high for 2 sandwiches,2 orders of fries,a pound of chicken salad, with tax came to$59.06. Paid and asked for itemized bill, noting 11.99 for chicken salad that posted price was 9.99. 6.99 for each order of fries and $1 more than listed for chips. called owner on it and he told me it was more than a pound and his prices were going up. changed pita price while I was there. $14 for 2 orders of fries,!!! He put $2 and free hummus in in the bag. I told him I wouldn't be back. SHEISTER!!
The food is very good and the owner was very welcoming and a total character which was great. He let us sample all the salads etc which was nice. Pretty expensive though and that's a bummer, I'd expect a deli to be a little more reasonably priced. Dont let that put you off though, the food is very good and the owner will let you know it ?
So we ordered a chicken kabob... falafel platter that should have been an appetizer and a lamb gyro. Also two spanakopadas. The bill was close to $70. Let's just say that the chicken in the kabob was at the tail end of where it is acceptable to serve as in there was a funkiness to it on the finish that you know was massively covered up by the heavy marinade. Also it was overcooked. The lamb was super salty. The tabouli salad was mostly tomato and not so fresh. A little over marinated definitely should have been thrown out yesterday. The falafel absolutely like hockey pucks cold dense centers. The hummus very much not flavorful spanakopita just okay. Decent flavor. Not anything to write home about. Anybody who knows about Lebanese food would be ashamed to serve this to their friends or family as should the dirtbag who owns this place. Don't know his name, never will. He's a heavy set man sat there like a lazy toad while his mother ran around doing most of the work and he was very insistent that they closed at 8:00 p.m. as we picked up the order at around 7 :50pm... The pita was very run of the mill. Nothing was warm or well executed. Also, there was some random kind of yogurt sauce that was sweet and disgusting with a few bits of mint in it. I assume I barely dipped a finger to taste it and it was immediately discarded as was most of the meal. I would not advise anybody to eat here. This place is too far gone.
Extremely pricey. My husband and I went in there looking for some pasta salad. We love greek pasta salad. After the owner was really nice enough to give us samples, we settled on a couple sides, pasta salad and tabouleh, we wanted to support since he had been so kind and we live so close we might be a regular customer. But when he rung us up it was 28.99 almost 30 bucks for just a couple sides. No meat, no protein I mean, just a couple of sides. we probably won't be returning
The best mediterranean cuisine! The high end quality of the good, huge portions, amazing lamb
Went here for pickup and was not disappointed. The owners were incredibly welcoming and let me taste their incredible sides. Definitely would recommend the orzo pasta and the chicken salad.
I was so impressed by the restaurant! The baklava blew me away! Best I’ve ever had! It was so good. I also got the chicken kabob and that was delicious. The hummus was so creamy and fresh. I will be coming here more often
BEST Mediterranean Market & Deli in Richmond!!!! You can find everything that you are craving for in this hidden gem. Bosnian native, professionally trained in Italian cuisine in France, Adis puts his personal touch in every dish. I love everything made by him! Stop by and pickup a few pre-made salads by the pound. I think he makes the best Tabouli Salad and Chicken Salad. We had the Chicken Salad with the Pita Bread and Flat Bread that we bought there for many meals. Hummus was fresh and creamy, you can eat it by the spoonful. Lamb Gyro was so delicious, filled with lots meat. The market also offers high quality olive oil and variety of cheeses that you wouldn’t be able to find them elsewhere. Almost forgot, we also love the all the pies that Adis made. Spinach Pies, Cheese Pies, Spinach & Cheese Pies, and Meat Pies. The meat in Meat Pie was seasoned perfectly. Hope I have gotten your attention and interest by now.
