As a beginner mountain biker but not a beginner cyclist, I went to the Bike Lane today in search of a mountain bike that was short enough for my legs without being too short. Owen took a lot of time and patiently answered all of my questions, as well as gave good advice without making me feel like I was being overly-pressured. Although the bike that I wanted was not in stock, I walked away with so much more confidence about what I wanted in a mountain bike and would definitely go back to this bike shop again. Thanks!

Helpful and courteous staff. Excellent value: a host of services offered at very reasonable rates. The technician who checked in my bike didn't try to offer me any services I did not need. Turn-around time was speedy considering the volume of bikes cued up for service. I'd return without hesitation for future service or purchases.
I had an exceptional experience with the staff at The Bike Lane. They had in stock the Trek Domane SL 5 bike that I was looking for, spent nearly 2 hours helping this newbie understand the bike, get the proper size, and get the bike configured to match me. This is my first endurance road bike that I hope to ride for many years. Great to work with a quality small business!

The sales staff, repair staff, and cafe staff are always super friendly and very helpful every time I come to TBL. The vibe here is awesome and its a great place to meet fellow cyclists as well as a shop that always has quality gear! The bike lane beers are awesome!! And yea, they have bikes! Lots of Bikes!

I have been coming in to this LBS for over a year now; they have a fully capable and helpful service team for my Treks, along with a good selection of coffee beverages (I have yet to try the beer, and I fully intend to). Conveniently located on the W&OD near Reston. Recommended.
