This salad bar is perfect for making a filling, nutritious and tasty lunch choice. The standard recipes are enticing enough but I prefer to create my own dish from all the ingredients I can see. My only criticism is that they don’t accept cash at the moment, hopefully this will not be a permanent feature.
It is usually a good experience having a healthy salad at Sweetgreen. The new Reston location is much more spacious and open. The only thing I have to comment about is the spinach in the salads. It needs to be chopped to smaller pieces to make the overall experience really worthwhile.
I can't think of anything that could have gone worse with my first experience with this restaurant. I had it delivered and asked to meet at the door instead of leaving it on my doorstep because it was raining. Not only did the driver just leave my order on the step, soaking up the water and sitting in the rain, he didn't even bother to knock or otherwise let me know that it was there. This is after it sat for 15 minutes after the app said it was "ready for the courier" before it was picked up. (I realize this is Doordash, not Sweetgreen.) However, I requested flatware & napkins; none were provided. I requested bread with my bowl; none. I ordered what I got because I thought the miso sesame ginger sauce sounded good; there was no sauce on it at all. Finally, after all of the disappointment, I was eating it anyway, even though the only thing "warm" about my warm bowl were the now wilty greens, I found a small worm in my food. After that, obviously, I didn't eat any more. However, neither of my kids would eat theirs after this, either. I paid a ridiculous $60 for three inedible salads! What a ripoff!
I used to get Sweetgreen all the time and it’s been awhile. I ordered it today through Ubereats and was extremely disappointed. Bowl wasn’t even full of lettuce. Definitely not worth a $20 salad, quality has gone downhill so much sad to say.

On 20 May 2022, ordered a harvest salad and create your own salad - both with chicken option. After pickup and review at home, no chicken. Tried to call Reston restaurant and only got to automated voice service. This has been the second time this happened from this restaurant. Will not go here again.
Usually I have a wonderful experience and awesome meal but this time around the cucumbers were terrible; tasted bitter like they weren’t washed and had a waxy film on the skin. I ended using losing my arm my appetite and wasted a salad. Prepare and wash your produce, it matters and customers can tell!
So glad my wife and I came here! This place was so tasty! Don't think this is just a glorified salad place. This is what salad should taste like! So much flavor great choices and great atmosphere! 5 stars baby!
