First time visiting SAAO Thai & Sushi restaurant. A yummy and well executed Thai restaurant, hidden away in an upscale office park in Reston, VA. Food, service and price will keep me coming back for years to come. They have take out, dine in, happy hour and bar service. Sushi is fresh and delicious, while their signature dishes are equally as tasty!
This place was amazing!! It is defintely one of my new favorite restaurants. All the food was incredible, the drinks were delicious (lychee martini is divine). The service was impeccable and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. And the ambience is very satisfying with perfect lighting and beautiful statues. There is literally nothing I would change. It will defintely be a regular spot.
The service was amazing and they were extremely attentive and made my friend and I feel at home. The thai wooden carved decor is very nice and the sushi I had was very good and not expensive. They were very hospitable and I left them a nice tip ;) The manager will also greet you to give you a 10$ off your next meal. It's that going the extra mile to make sure you're happy that left me feeling really pleased and we will definitely go back.
Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food! The best sushi in the area, great cocktails, and better fried rice than the local hibachi grill! Do glad they survived the pandemic! I can't wait to bring my whole family.Everyone serving food is very friendly and knowledgeable and the chef is awesome! Will be back very soon!
Disappointed. If you are also someone on a budget and eat out sparingly, don't let this be one of your exceptions. During the pandemic I have refrained from leaving less-than positive reviews for restaurants. But at this point, if a restaurant is still operational you would think they would have gotten the hang of utilizing working with less resources if necessary.For me, eating out is a luxury and not something I do very often.I am so disappointed that I allocated money in my budget to eat out and it was terrible. I ordered Tofu Pad Thai and it was lackluster. There were not any bright or pronounced flavors, all of the food was slimily doused in oil. The Tofu was deep-fried and oily as well. Again, no beautiful peanut or lime flavors coming through. I also wish that there has been some more vegetables in the dish to being life to it- to be fair, there were some green onions in it but nothing else.I am writing this in the hopes that the restaurant improves, I would love to retry in the future.
Phenomenal service. Great food. Fresh. Hand rolled sushi. Beef and Chicken fried rice were spot on. Highly recommended.
My husband and I have eaten dinner here twice and loved it both times. The restaurant opened in 2021 and isn’t very busy yet. First we ordered Thai food (delicious) and had the restaurant to ourselves. Then the next time (about 3 weeks ago) we ordered a number of sushi rolls. There were a few more people dining there but it was still quiet and enjoyable.We generally like dragon rolls, eel, shrimp tempura, and unique flavors- and the options we chose were excellent. There was a sushi roll topped with mango that may have been my favorite. The mango sticky rice is great too (I order this in any restaurant that offers it), and the mochi ice cream as well.The service is great. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope they start receiving more business.
The food and service was excellent. This place is my new favorite restaurant. We will definitely coming back!!!
Excellent food good service ?
Everything looked great and the sushi was excellent. I got the Rainbow Fantasy roll and the King Dragon roll. King dragon was awesome and the Rainbow roll was great! Friends got the Panang Chicken and Sushi plate, both loved them. Super friendly people, clean place and great service. Definitely will be back!
