I am sad. I was so looking forward to soul food today. Unfortunately my meal was not edible.I mean I could have eaten it but I would have regretted it for sure⁰. It was not good. Here is my review of the food:Fried chicken: Taste like 7-11 chicken in the glass case at the counter. The kind that comes pre-breaded and frozen and you just put in some sort of toaster oven. (I should've known when I was asked if I want my fried chicken breaded?) I was expecting real wings?Mac&Chz: It was overexposed to heat and lots of oil separated from the cheese so it was super greasy. It was not edible for me as it was just too greasy with bits of separated cheese all through it. I don't imagine it was made today and possibly reheated..?Potato salad: Tasted suspiciously store bought. No love in it.Collard greens: No seasoning. Very bland.Cornbread: I know "we" like our cornbread sweet, however it literally tasted like a cupcake. No corn taste at all, not suitable to eat with greens.I paid $16 plus tip and I am sorely disappointed. I will say thank you for presenting a clean, cool, safe and nicely decorated environment with good service. However I feel so slighted that I could not give the same review as others. Perhaps your specialty is fried fish? It looked really good in the pics I see from from others.Based on the meal I received, It just seems there is less of an priority in the area of buying quality food to cook and making things homemade.The two stars are for the environment and good customer service.
This was my first time here. When you walk in there are beautiful pictures on the wall. There is a selfie backdrop, if you want to take a picture. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the collard green egg rolls. I spent $31 and it was definitely worth it! The staff was friendly and the place was clean. My only issue was that there is no menu online. I tend to fake along to order lol. So if I can the menu before I get there it’s great. I’ll definitely be a happy repeat customer.
Owner was very nice. They give you great proportions on your food and it taste AWESOME !!!! the greens make you wanna slap yo mama !!!!! The Mac n yams were awesome also. The customer service set it off ! They were polite and i got my food in a timely manner. ????
In my opinion the food was decent. I ordered the fried chicken with two sides. The chicken wasn't really good the Mac and cheese was bland and the salmon egg rolls were distasteful. I did enjoy the collard greens it was delicious.
Today was my first time in Sistas Soul Cafe and I enjoyed every morsel. Turkey wings, cabbage, corn muffin, Mac and cheese, and yams. OMGGGG those yams. It was worth the money, time, and travel. Going through the tunnel will not bother me for GOOD soul food. I will come again. Thank you all at the cafe for an enjoyable experience.
I was on vacation and I had to check out Sista's Soul Cafe. The food was absolutely amazing, the special sista sauce enhances the seafood. The collard green and salmon egg rolls were an added treat. Finally the banana pudding cheesecake is very creamy, fluffy and mouth watering.
We decided to order here for lunch today and am so glad we did! The restaurant was clean, the ladies were extremely courteous and the food was delicious. We had smothered chicken, smothered pork chops, salmon cakes, Mac n chz, collards and cabbage and not one single this disappointed! We will definitely be returning ☺️
We have tried a few Soul Food restaurants in the areas.. Not impressed ? But when I say... YALL NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE.... please do‼️‼️ The chicken wings were good and smothered turkey wings were well seasoned, tender, juicy.. The collard greens.. YAMS.. and cabbage and even green beans... NO complaint!!This will be our new spot.. Only a few mins from the house.. They were very nice and professional.
