Nice place to eat in Old Town Norfolk. Staff was friendly and food was good. Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts was the beer selection. I thought it could have been a little more diverse than it was.

Overall, we liked Public House. We will go back... reasons they get a 3 are below:I ordered a broiled crabcake, steamed broccoli & mashed potatoes. The broccoli & mashed potatoes were on point!! But the crabcake was not broiled it was fried in a pan or a griddle. It was very tasty and I only found about 8 pieces of crab shell in it.It was very very cold in there with 3 or 4 ceiling fans on high.. it made my food cold before I could finish. Our waitress was very nice. Helpful but unobtrusive. It was also very loud. I had a difficult time hearing my family. I think next time I will go on a warmer day for lunch.

Autumn was amazing. She was very attentive and happy. The food was amazing. The BBQ pizza was top notch. To top it off was only $9.99 for an 8”. Definitely will come back.

Autumn J. is a wonderful server! She was attentive and sweet! She even noticed I didn’t use my lime on my drink so she didn’t bring me one with my next drink. I had the veggie pizza and it was so good there wasn’t anything left!! If you are in Portsmouth and have some time for pizza and a drink be sure to stop by Olde Towne Public House and ask for Autumn, you won’t be disappointed!! They have a full menu other than pizza but that’s what we had so I can’t attest to how amazing anything else is on the menu.

I have currently been sitting here with 4 friends for one hour. We ordered simple food. As of right now, only one salad has shown up. The bar is not crowded at all as it opened not long ago. It's like they were surprised they had customers. The server is nice but not very attentive, although she is the only server working so I get it. However, what the hell is going on with service? Why does food take so long?

Great variety of food options and drinks. I ordered the lump crab burger with a side of asparagus. Also ordered the shrimp and grits. Everything was very tasty. Also had an amazing drink called the Kentucky Mule.

We were really disappointed in the quality and service of this restaurant. When we arrived, we were told they were on a 30 min delay for ordering food. That dropped to 15 min when we were sat. A server greeted us promptly to take our drink order. Came back 20 min later to tell us they were taking food orders again so we ordered an appetizer and our entrees. An hour later, still no food. The restaurant had emptied out by now so not really sure who the kitchen was cooking for. Food finally arrives - no crab meat on the crab chips; burger was dry; crab cake was puny. Server was nice and we asked to take the charge off for the crabless appetizer which was nice but overall, what a disappointment.

Nice place for lunch, even with a big crowd. Fast friendly service with a smile. The crab cake sandwich was really good but the fries are awesome.

Enjoyed an amazing lunch. Attentive service and great variety on menu. I chose the shrimp and grits. The grits and the shrimp were cooked just right with great seasoning. Cannot recommend highly enough!!

Loved it!!! Great social environment. Good for a lot of occasions and has a good family friendly atmosphere. Food was great too
