#Nah - I visited the victory crossing location around 8:00pm 3/10. My food was ok but the service was subpar & very slow, but there were no other customers in the store (Right!). The employees were casually talking, one was mopping while the others appeared to be cleaning up for the night. I waited about 5-8 mins for them to take my order. The older gentleman finally walks over and took my order while the other employees walked around and looked crazy. I've had fire house at many locations before but this one in portsmouth is tre' ghetto.
The food was good. The oy issue I had was the owner/manager was scolding am employee as I was eating and then when the employee left he was talking about them with the other employee in front of us. Bad management. If you have an issue with an employee, you take it in the back, not out front in front of customers.
I ordered from Uber eats. Ordered the meatball sub and a bowl of chili that I asked to have onions and cheese added to. The sandwich was cold like it had been left out for an hour, even though I live less than 10 minutes away and also the bread was ROCK hard!!! It was inedible. The chili might have had a shred or two of cheese in it I could not really tell and the chili was chilly as well.
Prices are pretty good considering subs now a days, need to be a little more generous with the meat!! I can be alone with this thought.
It was friendly it was great I enjoyed my steak and sandwich best steak of Sandwich ever
Well... we order from here a lot. Tonight ordered 2 medium steamers, double meat, grilled onions on white bread....Nope. wheat bread, the meat didn't even cover the bread, no onion and hardly any cheese. Called and the owner was there. He was fun...he kept saying he needed to check on it?? He said my husband would need to come back. This is NOT just down the block. After arguing with hubby for a while he said he would "maybe" give him a couple of cokes next time...the sandwiches cost 35.00!There will NOT be a next time.
The manager is trash I got a cold dry sandwich and then he tell me I’m not his customer then where did I get the sandwich from… he’s not going to do anything to make it right.. it’s seem to me this place need to be boycott and don’t buy from here. Customer service is trash
Never again. This is my first time getting food from this location. I usually go to Charleys which is better. Their portions are better and their service is better. First of all I ordered online and they completely ignored what I my order was. I did not get any banana peppers and there was barely any cheese on the sub. I also ordered chopped pickles and you are suppose to get a pickle spear on the side. I like extra pickles and I am willing to pay for them. But this is just ridiculous. So apparently you can not get a pickle spear and chopped pickles you have to get one or the other or it is a dollar extra. Lol for a pickle spear a dollar extra. Are pickles expensive or something and why didn't the other firehouse in harborview suffolk charge me a dollar extra when I ordered the exact same thing a couple days ago. Anyway I did not know this so I asked the owner where the pickle spear was without even looking at me he said its in the bag. I said no it is not well he said its in the tray I said no it is not. He still thought I was lying. I had to show him my sandwich and he had to throughly inspect my bag for the pickle spear. Then when he finally discovered it was not there and that I had also ordered chopped pickles he said well you can not get both. It is a dollar extra for the pickle spear if you get chopped pickles. Why doesnt it say that online? I clearly ordered both. Why wasnt I charged online. I am not whipping out my card for a dollar pickle spear. Good grief. I thought ordering online would be easy. Just order and pick up. And another thing why is his subs 2.00 dollars more than the location in harborview. I do not recommend this place.
If i could leave zero stars i would. The customer service is horrible! I walked in and nobody greeted me they both just shouted at me “PICK UP?!”. I ignored they asked again so instead of answering the question i simply greeted them both and they STILL did not greet me back. Lol if weren’t starving i would’ve left. The guy took my order with gloves on and had an attitude the entire time making my order. If the employees don’t like their job. Get rid of them and find pleasant people to work at your establishment. It’s very rude and mean. I did nothing but spend my money with you all. Smh no one has name tags on so i can’t report them by name.
First and last time. Staff was complacent and the sandwich was a joke. Thoroughly disappointed. I hope this was an example of this location and not the chain.
