The Mac n cheese was okay. The cabbage was seasoned very well. The yams were sweet. The fried chicken wings were pretty big and seasoned well. The turkey chops were okay. The salmon was not seasoned and it looked as if the barbecue was just poured on top. The waitress was friendly and fast.
1st time pickup order from the District!! ? The LIVER & ONIONS tizer was flavorful. Loved the cabbage and collard greens!! The meatloaf was very tender, but a tad bit salty for my buds, didn't think it was the gravy because my mash potato gravy was delicious! The moist cornbread was a TREAT (could be nice mild dessert cake..?) !Can't wait to try a personal favorite here: their PORK CHOP SANDWICH (and gotta have mayo!)
So I heard great things about this place but did not see that on my recent visit. Took my daughter there for graduation and our crew…out of 20 ppl only like 3 was satisfied with their food. It was kinda salty! Not to mention them being out of food, like cabbage, turkey wings, ribs, it’s like every time we ordered they would come back to say they were out! Out of dessert all together! The food looked good but definitely was not all that! The service was not as good as I had hoped but we were a big party and waitress was working with very limited help! It’s safe to say I will not be going back there!
I ate there this afternoon for the first time. It was really busy seeing its Mothers Day, but after eating here I see why its busy. The food was phenomenal. I had chicken and waffles with a side of yams. The chicken was seasoned just right and the yams were very tasty. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu.
Awesome service. My husband and I were greeted promptly when we walked in. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was really nice. Our server gave great service and quickly responded to any needs we had. The food was delicious! We will be going back ASAP.
Friends told me about this place, loved the “funky kinda cool” vibe. Service was great (Dreen), and the food was everything I had been told it would be. I had the Oysters Rockefeller to start and they were delicious. For dinner I had the Turkey Chops (porkless chops), rice with gravy and collards, it was like being home. It was so good, I can’t wait to come back to try the other items on the menu. Love, love, love this place.
The food was absolutely delicious. Prices are fantastic for the quantity of food you get. Comfortable atmosphere. Yes, mask worn and social distancing. Great customer service. Waiters and waitresses on point. Bathroom amazingly clean. Come see for yourself why I was so excited and will be coming back and bringing some folks with me. I was greeted immediately by the waitress and I ordered our food to go. I had the Ribeye Steak Dinner with a sides of spinach and mashed potatoes with gravy. My wife had the Fried Shrimp Dinner with Mac and cheese and cabbage. Our food was cooked to our liking and I suggest that when you are in P-Town, Downtown stop in at 448 Green Street and enjoy yourselves.
When I came in they did a roll call of the food that was not available. Then I came home to a small portion of sides in my platter. The food was very good and tasty. They forgot to put a part of my order in the bag and I found out when I got home but they made up for the inconvenience. If you do takeout check your box before you leave.
Bri was our waitress. Very on point. Wife said leave her a good tip which is a sign she is impressed. Steak was very thin but at a 15 dollar price point very tasty and flavorful. Wife had the crab cake and said it was delicious. Cornbread had sugar in it. This is a sign that the people in the kitchen know southern food. Chitterlings and pigs feet are also on the menu. Food of my people.
