Food and atmosphere was spot on. I will be a regular after today!
Super cute place to eat in the heart of the city.The staff is very nice and take their job seriously. I had the fish sandwich and fries.if I had more time I would have ordered another one to go. I had a side of Mac&Cheese and it was good hot and creamy . If your ever in VA fort Lee area and looking for soul food you have to eat here it’s a MUST !!
❤️ It's not often I crave fried food, but when I do, I think I've found my spot! Fried chicken was well seasoned and so good! Never had fried collards before & I'm sure the nutritional value is next to none- lol- ...but what a treat that was! Friendly& welcoming service too! Check them out & support locally! When the next craving hits, I'll be back?
This place was amazing. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere and ambiance the same. Decorated beautifully and the staff was so friendly. I highly recommend Ta Bob Fry and Southern Eats!
Just ordered from TA BON FRY for the first time through UE ( UBER EATS). Got the catfish dinner with fried corn and coleslaw. The catfish was pretty big and seasoned just a bit to salty. The only reason 4 stars I just wished the slaw was in a separate container to keep the juice from running into the fried corn. I'll give it another try.
I really enjoyed Ta Bon's !! My friend and I went around lunch time. The resturant was clean and inviting. The food was so flavorful. I had the half grilled chicken with fried corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese bubbling off the grill? yummy. I also had a to go order of .. get this ~ fried ribs !! Yes fried then bbq sauced.. Delisious .. And for dessert I had sweet potato cake with butter cream icing .. Wow Wow Wow.. It was my first time there and I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area. Well deserved 5 stars.
In the area for a soccer tournament and gave this a try. First off, the friendliest staff I've ever encountered in a restaurant and then the food was amazing. Had the fried catfish and my daughter had the fried chicken. I'll be stopping here every year when we come down for this event!

Don’t let the humble menu fool you! The food here is absolutely amazing. Cooked fresh and served hot. The brisket melts in your mouth. The seasonings and flavors are delicious and unexpected from just reading the menu. Ta Bon Fry is a truly special place and almost hidden gem.
What a true gem. Ta Bon Fry and Southern Eats has delicious southern barbecue! I wasn't able to have any while visiting family in NC, but that didn't matter because Ta Bon Fry fulfilled that craving! Their sauces are delicious and the pork is perfectly juicy and flavorful. I hadn't had fried collards before this visit and I am completely sold. Definitely worth the stop. We will definitely come through the next time we head down south.
