So so Good!!! Food here is really, really good. Can't wait for the dining room to re-open. Don't mistakenly think it's closed because of how it looks from the outside. We thought it was closed and started returning to our car when the lady from behind the counter ran out to tell us that they were indeed open. My husband always insists on stopping here when we are in the area. He was a regular customer when he was stationed in Norfolk 16 years ago. He assures me the food here is as good now as it was back then.
First of all, let's give a HUGE shout out to businesses like Wan Shung that are open on Xmas Day to serve the customers that don't feel like cooking on this day! I got there today at 11:10am and this was my first time seeing the parking lot damn near packed! Go ahead and get that Xmas bag, Wan Shung!! I knew I was not going to cook a dern thing all day, so I had 2 orders of General Tso's chicken and a small order of boneless spare ribs. I mainly order those 2 when I go here. I've sampled some other items on their menu and never had a problem with the taste or order. They have closed their dine in area since Covid blew up on the scene last year. They do have 3 seats in the area where you order. While waiting for my order today, we were pleasantly amused with the singing of the staff's children singing Christmas carols on the other side of the wall in the old dining area. I've been coming to this location for over 12 years and will continue to frequent this location.
I seem to have a hard time finding good food and quality service around my area, but Wan Shung goes above and beyond. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Even the packaging the food comes in is nice quality. You can tell this place puts love into their food. Highly recommend!
The young man working the register was very kind and hospitable. He will do great things one day. Absolutely the best waiting in experience I've had with take out. Thank you brotha! I will be back.
A secret gem. For those that know...this is the place to buy Chinese food. Don't let the outside deter you, they know how to cook good food!

Great food and great service. We found this restraunt to go to last year in 2020 in the midst of COVID-19 for my husband and I'd engagement party and it's been one of our favorite spots since.
I have been eating here for about 15 years. I no longer live near here. So I don't get a chance to eat here often. My daughter asked for chinese for dinner. We were out and it was on our way home to order from here. We had shrimp lo mein, orange chicken with white rice and hot and sour soup. This time like every time. The food was perfect. Their lo mein in my opion is the best in Norfolk. The orange chicken was good and the hot and sour soup never disappoints. I love this place and will continue to eat here as long as I can.
The boy who took my order was so nice i loved the way he waited for me to figure out my order. and we had great small talk while we waited. that boy should get a raise, and the food was Delicious i ordered general tso chicken but the boys service made the food that much better
