It's a quiet, unique, best selection of beer kinda place. I would recommend this to friends for a social!!
I highly recommend The Birch for a perfect night out with friends. My adult daughter and her boyfriend took me out there tonight and we had the BEST bartender Kelly. She was so patient with my daughter who doesn’t have much experience drinking. She also made the best suggestions for food and beer choices!! So go to The Birch and see Kelly!!!
This is what beer should be. And the grilled cheese, if you've thought about putting it between bread and melting it - they've got it waiting. Beer was good, food was very fancy (and i have the pallete of a five year old so i’m not one to judge) but what i gotta give props to was the service. andy was the best! very personable. pay him 100$ an hour please
Small over priced hipster place. I mean atmosphere is nice and service is good. But beers come in tiny glasses and you are going to spend more money. I might try again but nothing special.
Great little bar focused on quality beers, drinks and food. Delicious cheese and charcuterie boards and collection of mac & cheeses. Bakehouse next door also delivers fantastic sourdough pizza.
The Birch is fantastic. Really great selection on tap, always changing. Plus they have bottles and cans for sale. Their events are very good. Grilled cheese Wednesdays are fun. Staff is really great. Both indoor and outdoor seating.
amazing craft beer selection that always changes, and if you don't know what you want the friendly staff will give recommendations! the food is amazing too, for meat eaters and vegetarians alike (you can replace any of the meat with tempeh!) this is one of my favorite restaurants in norfolk, i've never been disappointed.
