I visited mid afternoon. Staff were very helpful and informative as I ordered the slice of Sicilian pizza. They warmed it, boxed it and gave me the extra sauce I requested. It was delicious.

Time for another glowing review of the Bakehouse at Chelsea. The women who helped me went above and beyond to makeup for what was very likely my mistake when I tried to place an order by phone. (I’m so sorry I couldn’t adequately answer your callback on the Wednesday before this Easter, btw!) The $20 or so pan of coffee cake is totally worth it, people—every delightful buttery crumble! And the raisin bread loaf was a perfect recommendation over the hot cross buns (which I still want to take the blame for bungling). Chelsea Bakehouse, y’all are the crowning jewel of Chelsea neighborhood and just delightful bakers, wonderful people. We shall spread this baked goodness with so many friends this weekend.

Got a Sicilian slice and oatmeal Raisin cookie. Both Were excellent. Wish they had a better drink selection but it so close to the brewery selection so easy fix.

Get there early for the best selection of morning pastries and bread items. For now they are only open Thursday through Sunday. The French style baked goods are flaky and diverse.

We ordered a cheese and a pepperoni pizza. Firstly, the pizzas are tiny for the amount of money we spent. They were also less than mediocre in my opinion. The cheese was extremely salty and the bottom was burnt. Pepperoni was ok but nothing special. We ended up throwing both pizzas away and made a frozen pizza which was way better. I personally wouldn’t recommend their pizza. Not worth the caloriesUpdate: I now understand many reviewer’s complaint about the response from the owner. Very aggressive and condescending. A little bit of advice, hire someone to help you with these responses. Your responses are inappropriate and not the way to get repeat business.

GREAT LIL' FIND IN NORFOLK ?

Fantastic gem in the Chelsea district. The morning bun and the coffee cake are out of this world.

Came to pick up a load off the docks this morning and didnt have the cash for the escort fee. Had to walk to the 7Eleven to hit the atm. On my way back I decided to go inside to just see what was shaking and I do not regret it. The pastries were fresh and damn so good. I tried to hold out to get back to Raleigh NC to let my wife try it but that didn't work out as planned. The staff was very polite as well. Definitely will be back next time I'm in the area.

So I read all the reviews on the pizza and had to try it myself. Me and my family went on a Tuesday afternoon and ordered two pizza. Which was pretty expensive at over 45 dollars, the portions are pretty small. Each pizza has 5 slices. The ingredients are good but this pizza is extremely over hyped and I have had way better pizza other places.

We were visiting from Nebraska and ordered quiche for our Airbnb. Ordered bacon and veggie. Both delicious and top of line ingredients. Also snuck in gingerbread cookies for the kids. They loved them. Highly recommend.
