Saw this place on the way to East Beach and decided to try it with my boyfriend. We went around 2 o’clock and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very nice and helped us with the menu. We ordered the flounder BLTs. My boyfriend got his with a side of Mac and cheese which was very flavorful and the fries were seasoned. Sandwich was great just wish the fish was more seasoned but overall tasty. Definitely will try this place again :)

This place is an incredible brunch spot! $2 mimosas! WHAT! You can’t find those anywhere in Hampton Roads these days. The food was incredible! My boyfriend had the chicken biscuit which was fried perfectly and topped with their house made gravy served on a homemade biscuit. He also tried a side of their pancakes, which may I add were the fluffiest pancakes I’ve had in a long time! I enjoyed the seafood omelette that was full of crab meat and shrimp. The price was a steal, the service was INCREDIBLE, and the view over the marina were a definite bonus!
A hidden find. We were in Norfolk, Virginia in early July. Looking for a good seafood by the water. After doing some research. Decisions were made to go to Stony's. A little tricky to find. It was by marina. Nice place with delicious food. A little bit noisy. But a nice view. Definitely would recommend.
The service is great, a cool location, but the food is so mediocre. The calamari was over cooked and tough. The flounder BLT has no sauce and was bland. It just needed some salt and pepper and it would have been better, but no seasoning and no remolaude and waitress took too long to come back to get some. The Seafood Mac was ok, super runny, but better on the flavor. It was like they put noodles in she crab soup and added heavy cream. Overall not great, but the view was good and so were the beers.
Absolutely amazing food. Really really not great waitress. We waited 5 minutes for her to return with the ketchup and she didn't have the tartar which came another five minutes later. Fish sandwich was mostly cold by then.... Came back way quicker with and for the check though. Avoid peach shirt waiter/waitress when possible. Seeing lots more of the blue shirts. Again fantastic food that was worth the wait- just not the wait for the sauces.
First time and we (3) tried lunch. I had the crab cake. It was plopped down onto a plateful of what they called remoulade sauce which tasted like spicy mustard(not good). I could taste the filler. The other 2 had a burger. 4 out of 10. We won't go back.
Just had a terrific dinner here with wife. First time. They were busy. Took bar seats. Service was very good. The pan seared scallops were off the hook, perfection. Fresh, tasty and melt in your mouth. The swordfish was excellent. The flounder was good. Atmosphere was upbeat and enjoyable. Definitely recommend, and will return to try more menu options.Returned for a follow up. HAD to have the pan seared scallops again. They were delicious, again! This time we enjoyed them outside, and Taylor's service made them even more enjoyable.
Heard so much about Stony's Bar and Grill I gave it a try and I must say from all I heard I was really disappointed. The service was good and the staff was very friendly but, as for my drink ? I was charged $10.00 for the second shot in my drink which I understand but the problem is I could not even taste or feel the first shot. I drink the same thing most of the time so I know what to expect, and that was not here. As for my dinner I request that it be cooked to medium well and when my meal came and I stuck the fork into the tuna it tried to jump off the plat and back into the bay so I had to send it back to be cooked some more, when the plate was returned it still was not done enough but I ate it anyway and left the rice and broccoli on the plate. Like I stated earlier staff was great and the service was good and the place looks great but I will not be returning.Everyone's taste is different so just because this was not a fit for, you may have different experience just before the bring a fully loaded wallet.
The best Neptune Salad (sort of like Cobb sans chicken plus there are onion ring pieces). I topped with pan seared salmon and Caesar dressing. Plus, best lemon drop martini. Excellent service as well.
