I've never been a fan of Starbucks. Their prices are way too high. Their portion sizes are way too small. They have so many flavors and sweetners, but the quality isn't even that great. I only go here when I'm given gift cards, but at this point I'll probably just re-gift them or return to sender. Dunkin' Donuts and Panera Bread definitely have better quality and portion sizes than Starbucks. Be that as it may, the best part may not have been the food or the coffee, but the employees. They have great energy and exceptional customer service. Starbucks is still overrated though.
Very clean courteous staffing and quick service even in rush hour near the Portal so let's all you that can on your way to work at the Navy Base Next and if you're able truck drivers going to the Port stop in
Pit stop during my Saturday bike ride. Place was very clean and the iced coffee hit the spot.
Rudest drive-thru staff. Simplest drink order ALWAYS wrong. I don't even ask the staff to remake considering I wouldn't trust them to be passive aggressive and use decaf. Terrible considering the location is closest to the freeway ramp. I recommend you drive up the street 5 minutes and get Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks near the naval base. Somehow, this location managed to get a terrible barista tranfer from another location and her attitude followed. If you want to complain about your job and the entire reason you are at the window to take orders, close the drive-thru window before you proceed to complain "OMG" about the paying customer for asking why a drink appears off with syrup pulling at the bottom when syrup was not asked for AND then have a receipt aggressively passed over to only prove my order was input incorrectly. Management needs to address this staff. I believe it has a high turnover rate based on lack of recurring faces. Something has to be going on.
Probably my favorite Starbucks in the area. They almost always have what I order and the drive thru is wicked fast. Also they're just super friendly and are a gift to the world. ✨
It takes a lot to write a bad review but after two terrible encounters I felt it necessary. I have been to this particular Starbucks twice now and each time have attempted to order a upside down Nitro cold brew. I have ordered this same drink many times with no issues and was actually informed by another Starbucks that this is how to order is you want the cream in the bottom. Last week while attempting to order inside the lady behind the register began to argue with me about how I was ordering the drink, informing me that it wasn’t possible. They said they could mix the drink but it’s not possible to make it in reversed order which would be upside down. Eventually they made the drink and it was alright besides the extreme amount of ice that completely watered down the drink. I went back a few days later, this time to the drive through and attempted to order the same drink. This time the lady on the drive through simple stated I could not order the drink upside down and how I’m ordering it wrongly. She told me I didn’t understand what I was trying to order then explained each ingredient for the drink and how I wouldn’t like it if she made it upside down. She stated what I need to say is I want them to mix it up so I’m satisfied with my drink. This time I didn’t even order a drink and backed out through the drive through. A a customer who is not a child it was completely disrespectful in the way they treat their customers. Each time they have spoken to me as if I’m a child when this is not the first time I have ordered a drink this way. I have ordered an upside down nitro cold brew for many years now and this is the first time I have ever had an issue. The Starbucks down the street didn’t have an issue later that day and was so friendly. This Starbucks is one of the worst businesses I have ever been to in the regards to the way they speak to their customers. I would recommend that no one ever goes to this facility if they want to be treated with respect and not talked down to.
Last two times I went here, my breakfast sandwich was frozen in the middle. when I do go here and after getting my order I head straight to the freeway to go to work so I’m usually starving and in a hurry. I could not eat a frozen sandwich so I went hungry all day as sometimes my job allows no breaks. For $8 I think I should have a warm delicious sandwich. The bacon was all fat, rubbery and slimy. Literally inedible. I can’t believe people wrap around the building to spend an hourly wage or more on food or drinks that should be on the dollar menu. Fancy coffee shop, bottom of the barrel quality food.
Most of the time - a good experience. Friendly staff. But even though you’re busy, can you make sure to ask to scan the customer’s star card if they have one before just taking their money so you can get them out of the line? It sucks when you spend about 7 dollars on a drink and then you can’t even get points toward it because the person already just took your payment without asking to scan your stars card.
Always order the same thing here (Strawberry refresher no strawberries) always get it right. Even when ordering through the app. Even when they are busy the drive thru line goes quick. The customer service is awesome as well!!
They actually give cover stops lol!!! Amazing service and I got my coffee grounded. Btw it must be sealed and unused Starbucks beans. Their chocolate mocha is heavenly
